Read what parents are saying about Stroman Middle SchoolI think things could be better. The lunch lines are out of order, every cutting, yelling, hitting, stealing, and use of profanity. There is food being thrown everywhere in the cafeteria. And in class rooms the teacher needs to pay attention to what's going on, and if something bad happens they need to disipline the one who did it. ALSO what I hate about my school the most is that if someone starts hitting you repeaditly and rapidly and you hit back you BOTH get into trouble....It's an unfair disiplinary system that I think needs to be corrected. If not for me (as I am in the 8th grade) than for all the 6th and 7th graders. The only thing I think is great about our school is our band. We're mighty and proud and play our fingers to the bone. I'm rating the school a 4. Only for band.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDudley has been an excellent school for my child to attend. I chose for her to attend Dudley and I do not regret that decision. The teachers thus far have been excellent. my child started at Dudley in kinder and is going into the 4th grade this school year. I love all the extra-curricular activities that are made available.Parent Review11y ago - Hopkins El

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWow, where to start? I will start off by saying that the teachers are amazing considering what they have to deal with, these teachers work hard and put in long hours past the final bell. The biggest problem comes from administration, like a previous poster said "Terrible school starting with thePrincipal!!" Now this school has the potential to be awesome but the principal: *Has no backbone to work with the older kids *Allows discipline problems and certain students to run the school *Leaves the teacher powerless *Belittles teachers on morning announcements telling students to remind teachers to do their jobs, things that they are doing to begin with. This causes lack of respect for teachers and the students now feel like they can get the teacher in trouble or fired *Morning announcements may be fine for the lower levels, but someone needs to mention that this is not Mikey's Club House or Nick Jr. The older kids are not amused and have lost what little respect they had left for administration. *Students know they can get away with their ill behavior because other students come back from the office announcing how fun it is to go see the principal/iss(held in office with secretary).Parent Review10y ago - Smith El

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have dealt with nothing but disrespectful and condescending staff. The staff run that school like a prison, especially at lunch time. The children are given scant time for socializing and relaxing to eat lunch with their friends, always with teachers marching up and down the aisles with a judging and watchful eye barking down at the children. Children have to sit facing one direction and not allowed to turn around to talk. If any child messes up they are sent to "reflection time" where they are banished to eat alone. Tattling on friends/students is highly encouraged. My child has had such a hard time in this school due to inconsistent, subpar teaching. Many times we have had to take homework assignments back to the teacher for incorrect grammar, unclear directions and a lot of the time the question won't even have a correct answer bank! I am taking my child out to homeschool because they are way better off at home than at this prison of a school. This school very clearly only cares about the money they recieve. This is by far the absolutely worst school in this district. If you are thinking about sending your child to this school--don't do it!! Trust me you will regret it!Parent Review9y ago - Rodolfo Torres Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSadly, high expectations were not met at this school. This was once a very good school but the last few years has fallen. Teachers and parents are not permitted to talk to each other. Why? Teachers and parents are not permitted to talk to Board of Directors about issues at the school. Why? What is being hidden by the administrator that should it become common knowledge, would be detrimental to her? Does the administrator tell what is really happening at the school to the Board??Other Review3y ago
