Magnolia J High School

I love this school. I go here currently. It is amazing, they give well balanced lunches with fresh fruits and vegetables. My grades have excelled since I came here last year. The teachers are funny and also very serious and supportive. If you have a question the answer it. The principal is great, always has a smile on their face. There are some fights every now and then but you just have to pick the right groups of people to be friends with. The school is big and offers the education you need. They are very proud and involved!

Love this school! All the teachers and administration know your children! They are not just a number! I had 2 out of 3 boys attend here and we came from one of the largest districts in Houston.. We loved the family atmosphere and the fact that the teachers care!

This school is terrible nothing but problems and no help from staff pulled my kids out after 3 weeks

As a grandparent living in this area my entire life, I have to say that the MISD schools on the west side have become the worst in the district! In my opinion most of the teachers need more education in the area that they are teaching. I'm also familier with the east side schools which I would rate much higher.

My family moved to this school district eight years ago and have been very pleased with all the schools our children have attended. We moved from a very large and affluent school district and were concerned about the quality of education. After our children started attending, we realize we had nothing to worry about. The teachers are great, caring, and work with parents very well. My children have wonderful memories and excelled in all their classes. There is room for them to pursue interests, clubs, and other challenges that keep them interested in learning. We have observed less issue with gangs and drug related problems in this school district. Their peers have been supportive and encouraging, with very little bullying observed.
