Read what parents are saying about Olmito Elementary SchoolMy niece and nephew attend Olmito Elementary School and it is a great school. The teachers are extremely well prepared and execute their tasks wonderfully. I have witnessed the homework assignments the children take home and it is impressive of how they DON'T teach the children to MEMORIZE, but actually learn. You don't see this in many schools. The Principal and Vice Principal actually call the children by their names. They definitely know their teachers and students. This school is beyond amazing. From the time the children arrive to the school to pick up time, the entire staff is very organized and keep things in order. I want my children to attend this school. It is remarkable and it challenges the children academically in the most efficient and effective manner.
Posted by a community member on 9/11/2013Olmito School is an outstanding school. It is a high performing school and is one of the top schools in the state. This is is no coincidence! My children have been attending since Pre-K and are now in 2nd and 4th grade. The curriculum offered is first-rate. The dedication of the staff and students is what makes it excellent. Don't be surprised to hear the principal, coach or even the librarian call your child by their first name. I appreciate the daily effort Olmito School makes to challenge the parents to get involved. We check and sign their homework assignments daily. The care of our children provided before and after school and during school breaks is reassuring. The staff has done a great job of communicating with me through phone calls, emails, meetings, etc. My children are both seeing a dietician and it helps to see that the cafeteria provides an excellent variety of healthy foods. The school's dress policy code is great and helps to support unity and school spirit. The kids are happy, energetic, and well-mannered. My husband and I have no problems waking the kids to go to school in the mornings. They love going to Olmito Elementary. Submitted by Mrs. Palafox a parent

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter dealing with a few bumps on the learning rold I decided to relocate my child to this school. BEST decision I made. They truly brought the best in my child and helped (and still is helping) her work through her early education. This was effective 2 years ago and I now have another little one in this school and so far they have done excellent with him too! Teachers are very concerned and dedicated, which in turn, reflects the kind of principal guiding them!Other Review8y ago - Villareal Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been at Dora Romero since this school opened. I have found that our teachers really care about their students. What we really need is more parent involvement. Parents, if your reading, please ask your child, how their school day was, or what they learned today? Parents need to know more about what goes on in their child's school day! You might be surprised at how much they have learned!Teacher Review10y ago - Rancho Verde Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAside from having an excellent and safe environment for children to develop and study, students consistently rate above national average in SAT scores, which is a tremendous achievement since they are not coached or prepared during school year for this test. Bible classes strengthen children moral values, regardless of being Christian, Catholic, etc. and at FCA this is the core of the education. KudosParent Review13y ago - Living Way Leadership Academy
