Read what parents are saying about Challenge Early College High SchoolExtremely disappointed to say the least. This school was supposed to be a amazing opportunity for my child but instead was a nightmare for him as teachers and deans constantly liked to pick on him
Posted by a parent on 2/27/2024TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!ADMINS ARE TERRIBLE AND JUST OVERALL WORST SCHOOL MY CHILD HAS EVER BEEN TO
Posted by a parent on 2/27/2024Teachers were excellent at finding what the student needed for success, putting a plan in motion and following up. Counselors were positive and built on strengths. The whole staff was encouraging, cheerful and convinced of each student's abilities. Students received lots of coaching on college applications, and extra help was always available for difficult classes. This school is about being ready for college! Dual credit classes available as well.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you could or want to afford a decent house in this area just for the school, then, think twice. The school is having a lot of student discipline issues; teacher student ratio is higher comparing to the other HISD good schools. Principal refused to hire a music teacher for already over two years. As a language magnet school, there is only one Spanish teacher to teach the entire school (800+) students who picked Spanish as their magnet course.Parent Review1y ago - Rodriguez Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy name is Lindsy i went to this elemetary school from kinder-5 i loved it so much my last year (5th grade) was from 2019-2020),so i didnt get to finish 5th grade in person due to covid-19. This school feels like home to me i think just because it is a school in a not so good neighborhood does not mean it isnt a good school. This school has a great education system and a good opportunity for learning. i am now in 8th grade and i have only got to where i am because of this school, thank you.Other Review1y ago - The Post Oak School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you don’t mind the bias that goes on at this school towards big donor families then continue to apply to get in. If you don’t mind paying tuition and not getting the teaching that your child should be getting, then it’s the school for you. The teacher did nothing for my child to get the reading skills he needed in first grade and to be ready for second. When we questioned the teacher choked it up to the possibility of a learning disability. Test clearly showed it’s wrong and it’s due to lack of skills to read. If you are not a high donor at this school, your child will not get the attention he/she needs. Two weeks of reading tutor and my child read more than he did the entire year under his teacher’s care.Parent Review1y ago - Afton Oaks School
