Read what parents are saying about Ed H. White Elementary SchoolEd White is amazing! The teachers, principal, counselor, administrators, janitor, everyone at this school loves the children and loves their job! My daughter loves going to school each day and has learned so much academically as well as socially and how to respect herself and others. I have never seen such an amazing school. The principal knows the children's names, he is outside for pick up and drop off. The negative comments on here are not true! Also there are so many parent volunteers that it helps the school functions and allows the children to have fun activities. The sun always shines on Ed White Elementary.
Posted by a parent on 5/13/2013Small school with a wonderful Habitat. We were rezoned from the larger Bay Elementary when Robinson was built and have been very happy at Ed White, my children like the smaller school and enjoy the habitat and science lab, which gets used even by Kindergarten - I do not recall my son ever doign a science lab at Bay ( he was there K and 1st grade)

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have only started attending K and 1st grade this year and so far the Kinder kid loves her school, the first grader was last year in Clear Lake City Elementary and says that it is better. Each day though when I pick them up from school they say they had a great day and just chatter to no end about all the things they did. I however really do not like the excessive discipline in elementary schools, no talking, if you forget to bring water from home seriously my kids cannot get to the fountain at lunch time - they have to wait until next break to have a drink. What is that? This is a school, give kids some leeway and responsibility!Parent Review9y ago - Lavace Stewart Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child went to this school's dual language program. We as parents were so excited to have him enrolled in this program, we feel dual language is a very important language skill to have. UNFORTUNATELY, this school's program is not designed to teach English speakers Spanish. The English-speaking kids are only there to support and help the Spanish speakers learn English. If you are not a dual-speaking home your child will not learn Spanish in this program. They bypass English speakers' ability to pick up Spanish so quickly that your child will have no hope of learning Spanish. They teach to the Spanish kids. Our child is a high achiever academically and is also in the Gifted program. FYIParent Review7mo ago - G W Robinson

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved my son from "exemplary" public school for they were not supporting my bright but discouraged son. This school has helped raise his self esteem and enjoyment of learning again!Parent Review6y ago
