Read what parents are saying about Ursuline Academy of DallasUrsuline Academy of Dallas does have many high quality teachers, so that does help the rating to a 3 rather than a 1 or 2. The tuition is +22,000 per year.so we feel the quality of education and high school experience that they offer is worth the price they ask. The after school clubs are mostly fluff, with very few actually offering a substantive quality for such important components such as debate, they don’t meet at all. If Athletics and scholarships are important to your family, we don’t recommend their Athletics and their fields and athletic facilities are lackluster. You will find that for most sports you will have little to no home games, tournaments or meets and your child will need to wake up at 5 am to get to 6 am practices a minimum of 20 minute drive to another school’s facilities. The athletic locker rooms are lacking considerably and mostly the girls refuse to take showers before starting their school days, the toilets are often clogged and sinks are old and clogged. Athletic Academically minded students should go elsewhere and have a better experience.UA of Dallas only offers one accommodation for learning differences, neurodiverse or disabled high school students. It is required by Federal Law under the ADA to offer extra time on tests, however, the student is responsible for requesting the extra time prior to the scheduled test in writing. They offer no other official accommodations and its a mixed bag with whether teachers are able and willing to help in any other way. The school also has a block schedule with every other day classes and each class period is rotated so that classes do not meet during the same period. Math may be first period and the next class meeting will be last period. If a student needs or requires regular communication between the teachers and themselves, the responses are mostly slow, delayed as to not be helpful or timely, and many times do not get returned to the student to a time sensitive standard. Based upon these three issues, DO NOT SEND your student who has ADHD or delayed or slow processing to this school! Homework is another poorly handled situation. Plan on a minimum of 3 hours of school work per day after school and often up to 5 or 6 more often than not. Weekends will also be filled with class work assignments. Your daughter will not have school sanctioned mixers beyond freshman year, so expect your daughter will likely be behind on that too!
Posted by a parent on 1/22/2023Most disappointing experience. The staff was removed and cold. My daughter needed a loving and supportive environment - instead we found cold and judgmental. If I could give negative stars, I would.
Posted by a parent on 7/16/2022Ursuline is a very academically challenging place to get a great education for the future. Science, history, English, theology, and most languages have great teachers and are challenging but the teachers in these departments are helpful and prepared to answer questions. The building at Ursuline is modern and a fantastic learning environment. The only complaint I have about this school is the math and Spanish department. The teachers are not prepared to answer questions, and we are not on the same material as other private schools in Dallas are at this point in the year. Besides that Ursuline is a nurturing environment that will help me get into a great college and become a leader.
Posted by a student on 4/4/2022I truly love Ursuline! There are many opportunities to get involved and the bond between the students is so strong. I love how kind everyone is at Ursuline, the staff and students, if anyone looks like they aren't having a good day, people will go and provide any support needed. I love the focus on Serviam, leadership, and sisterhood, and academics because I truly feel like I belong and I have developed as a person and become so confident with who I am today because of Ursuline and the support, and I feel so smart with all that I learn each day.
Posted by a student on 3/19/2018Ursuline Academy is supposed to be one of the very best high schools in Dallas. But if you're going to invest $20,000+ a year in the hope that Ursuline is going to be an effective bridge to an elite school (Ivy League, Stanford, USC, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rice) or some of the more competitive majors (engineering, communications, business, architecture) at schools such as UT and Duke, I urge you to take a very hard look at other options. The majority - not all, but the majority - of Ursuline graduates who get into those schools are athletes, minorities, National Merit commended or above, or the valedictorian/salutatorian. If your daughter isn't in one of those categories, good luck to you.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school to do a Tennis Assembly with all grades and had the best time with the kids. I found the kids happy, polite and excited about learning, several teachers dropped in to see what the excitement was all about, and they were one of the most friendliest and warm teachers ever. Felt right at home with them as they were very friendly. The Principal I met years ago, she was great then and the same now. She's a great lady. The asst. principal was so warm and friendly and so excited for the kids to get the experience of learning a few things about tennis. We are coming back to them in the Fall with an afterschool program for the kids. I fell in love with that school and the staff, including the office personnel. They were great to work with, and getting to know them was a pleasure. The PE coach was great and had a good relationship with the kids and a lot of respect given both ways. The kids showed a lot of respect to my team that came with me. I/we can't wait until the Fall to start us on a journey to building a great relationship with everyone at this school.Parent Review1y ago - Walnut Hill Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo blessed to have found Oak Hill. It is perfect for my daughter and has brought out the best in her! Communication between home and school and great, and the school community really feels like a family. Oak Hill has been an extension of my efforts to provide what is best for my daughter—the admins, support staff, nurse, and teachers all focus on her strengths while helping form a comprehensive plan to help strengthen her weaknesses. I can’t wait for the years ahead, to see what else she can achieve with the team at Oak Hill behind her!Parent Review11mo ago - The da Vinci School
