People here never included me i went here for 3 years including going to the elementary school. I thought my relationship with these people would get better in high school but it did not; many of the other groups I tried to join were not interested. This school is very clicky and hard to be accepted. But if you feel a calling to go here or are interested go ahead but it wasn’t the school for me and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

I would give this school an excellent rating. I learned many important life lessons as a student here, and I will be sending my children soon!

Mirroring what others have said, there are some staff here that genuinely do care about the student body(at least when I attended). However, most play favorites, and harshly punish the students they already did not care for. Having only ever attended this school, I can't say exactly how it compares to public school. However, the emphasis on "Bible" classes is asinine. Unless the students plan on attending a religious university, it leaves them woefully unprepared for normal colleges. Too much emphasis on gymnastics program, not nearly enough emphasis on music program. Enough has been said on the ridiculous rules regarding student relationships. I knew too many students who's family donated to the school who were able to get away with egregious offenses that any other student would have been quickly expelled for. Very homophobic environment perpetuated by both staff and students alike. Send your kid to literally anywhere else but Highland.

The school might not have the best facilities and offers lots of academic programs like Public Schools (STEM, for instance). Nevertheless, this is still a very good Christian schools that strives to develop not only students' academics but other aspects of life such as spirituality, music, leadership, etc. With whatever budget and facilities that they have, they simply try to do their best for the students.

Highland, with the strange no touching policy towards a romantic interest, and also with no tv or radio allowed (at least when I was there) left me terribly vulnerable when I graduated and entered the real world. As a matter of fact I believe the failures I endured in those early years after graduation could be chaulked up to culture shock from being sheltered from the world. The teachers for the most part were wonderful, sincere people... I think the ideology and method of controlled exposure to the real world is where the school fails... you can't stay in that environment forever, nor will it help in the long rong of a person's life.
