Abintra Montessori School

This is a one of a kind school, one of a kind environment. The guides at this school care so deeply for their wild and their students, the aspect of community/family involvement is so important, the staff and board are constantly trying to support diversity and the whole child is truly nourished here. This school prepares children for the real world while honored their childhood and individuality. This is definitely an academic and competitive program. Some other reviews on here seem to give a horrible picture of an amazing place, and it's a shame such a special place is being so misrepresented.

We started our 4-year-old at Abintra 1 year ago as we were looking for a preschool with reasonable COVID-19 precautions to keep our family safe (masking, lots of outdoor play, ventilation), but what we found was the most wonderful environment for our whole family, pandemic or not. As soon as we learned more about Abintra and experienced the care that the guides and staff provide, we realized we needed to transfer our older child from public school to Abintra as well. They were struggling with the large class size (no one-on-one instruction), lack of socializing and play time, restrictive schedule, and excessive testing in public school. A year later and they are thriving in an inclusive, supportive environment and actively love coming to school.I also especially love the care that Abintra puts towards helping grow a community of parents/families around the children, including weekly parenting support meetings and workshops on Positive Discipline. Abintra has been a real gift to us all; and after experiencing the alternative, we can really appreciate how special it is here.

I cannot say enough positive things about this school. We have two children in the lower school program and it has been incredible experience for all of us. The guides and the education process and the individualized attention is second to none. We recently found out that our family is relocating and leaving this school is by far the hardest part of the move. If you are in Nashville looking for an incredible educational environment for your family, this is the place to be.

Seems that it's becoming quickly less diverse over time. Any family unwilling to fall in line, shut up, and comply with the insanity usually leaves after a year or two.

Our children have been students at Abintra for several years and we have had a very positive experience there. The beautiful environment, the loving staff and the solid education have made us so glad we chose Abintra for our family. We recommend it all the time to other families.
