Macon Road Baptist School-East Campus

My son went to this school from the 6th grade though 12th grade. He was treated like an outcast, why, probably because I am a divorced woman and I did not make a lot of money. I believe all the staff, teachers, admin were all crooked. I believe they stole money from the tuition that was paid by working parents. They all drove fancy cars and had elegant houses. I do not believe the so-called required retreats were needed. The whole student body and faculty/staff were all a part of a social click. If you and your children did not attend their church every time the doors opened you were not part of their social click. My son was bullied the whole time he attended. When the bullies would get called on the acts they would get a tiny slap on the hand and they would return to continue their bullying and they would continue being the stars of everything. I was glad to see they changed administration. They should have because the administration were all related. The only reason the administration left was because their children/grandchildren all graduated. Don't waste your time or money. My son graduated 5 years ago and he still has social issues because of the way he was treated in school by everyone. If I had known then what I know now, I would have pulled him out of this place they call a school.

I went to Macon Road for seven years, it became distraught as time went on, as a person of color and a woman, I was not treated equally, as a woman I was told my meaning was to stay at home and clean the home. Then,I was also told that if a man was in the room, I was meant to stay quiet . As a woman of color , I experienced, racism from my teachers and fellow student on my on my hair, and voice,and my chance to a fair education. In my late years as a student, I had fellow student come out as gay, when they first announced , they were met with word with of unkindness, a teacher was saying she had loose screws in her head, then student went to her personally and told her she was going to hell. During my classes the teachers were allowed to disrespect, other denominations especially, catholics.How, as an institution, could they let so hateful thing be, said to a child? If you consider sending your children here please,consider other options for your children.

I have been very pleased with this school and their administration. They are very attentive to my child's needs and have worked with my daughter to deal with the effects of bullying at a previous school and the anxiety that came with it. I have multiple children here now and could not be more pleased with the education that they have received. The focus on building on a Christian foundation and the character building that is encouraged is outstanding.

My son started attending Macon Road in K5 and is now going into his 9th grade year. The staff has always been amazingly positive and supportive. Educationally I feel that the school balances the Christian learning well with the traditional. We decided to have him take his ACT this summer only two weeks out of 8th grade and he scored a 23 composite! This tells me without a doubt Macon Road is doing an excellent job with educating my son. I'm so happy we made the choice to send him to this school so early. If anyone is having doubts about the educational value of the school, hopefully this will shed some light as to how good they actually are.

Kids are taught to love each other.
