Bayview teaches to the whole child and offers a true liberal arts educatio . There is a space for everyone- athletes, mathletes, scientists, performers and artists, writers, technicians and more! Bayview prepares students for success no matter what their interests, strengths or talents. Administrators and Teachers are dedicated, responsive, accessible and partners with families.
Posted by a parent on 10/27/2023Today the School Administrators called the Police on our 7 yr. old, nonverbal, Autistic child for taking off his bathingsuit in his own backyard after getting out of our pool. Not one word was said to us. In their Christian compassion and empathy they sent 2 East Providence Police Officers to harass a young child with severe mental handicaps. They should be ashamed.
Posted by a parent on 8/30/2022I graduated from Bay View in 2013 and now attend Columbia University in New York City. Currently in my last semester, I have done some serious reflection on where I am in my life now, how I got here, and what I want to do next. I can honestly say that the answers to all three of these questions contain an aspect of my experience at St. Mary Academy-Bay View. Receiving an all-girls catholic education not only pushed me to excel academically, but it also allowed me to foster my own feelings of independence, confidence, and self-worth. However, above all of this, being surrounded and supported by a faith filled community allowed me to really start to grow in my own faith. When I graduated from Bay View I felt more than prepared to enter the next chapter of my life. Deciding on a high school can be difficult today, especially with the increasing pressures of college and achieving "success." Just know, when you give your daughter, sister, niece, the opportunity to attend Bay View, you are giving her the tools necessary to accomplish great things. Bay View and all of the people I encountered during my time there will forever have a special place in my heart.
Posted by a community member on 1/20/2017As a parent of two Bay View girls, I absolutely love the feeling of community at St. Mary Academy Bay View. There is a real sense of "family" among administration, faculty, students and parents. In addition to the beautiful faith-based community, the academic expectations at Bay View are very high. My oldest daughter attended Bay View from grade 8 through grade 12. She had a seamless transition from her high school classroom experience to her ivy league classroom experience. Our younger daughter started her Bay View experience in the pre-K program. She is absolutely thriving there.
Posted by a community member on 12/15/2016How disappointing that someone would feel the need to trash such an exceptional school, as we have found that our daughter has thrived at Bay View. The support she experiences from her teachers has been nothing short of wonderful. Parents should keep in mind that every child is unique and not every setting suits the child. If you are looking for a positive learning environment for your daughter with a values driven education, then this is the school for you.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrimrose Hill School has a student body and community that could potentially foster a truly excellent education. The quality of the test schools when you look at this school by the numbers should mostly be attributed to the largely affluent demographic who can afford to supplement the sub-par education offered by this school. A lack of leadership, low teacher expectations and accountability, weak district oversight, and lack of consideration for the student as a whole child make this school a place we are very glad to leave. If you are considering buying in this school zone be prepared for an average education if your child is high performing, and to be constantly annoyed by the lack of professional clear communications from the school leadership. I give Primrose Hill school 2 stars instead of 1 only because of my positive experience with other families at this school and a couple of teachers/staff members.Parent Review4y ago - The Gordon School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our third year at The Gordon School and we could not be happier! We moved to Rhode Island from out of state during the pandemic, with a rising 3rd grader who we were worried about transitioning to a new school and a new preschooler, and feel so incredibly lucky to have found Gordon during a period of such intense transition for our family. Our sons immediately connected with their classmates and teachers, and we all felt so comfortable from day one. The sense of community and belonging here is so special, and the focus on social-emotional learning and diversity, equity and inclusion makes Gordon a truly welcoming environment. The teachers and administration are exceedingly committed to making learning fun and exciting and meeting the students where they are.Parent Review3mo ago - The Children's Workshop
