We have been at Portersville Christian School for 13 years. I have an alumni of PCS and a Junior who started in kindergarten. We love the supportive atmosphere of the whole school. Because the school is smaller you can try sports and activities without necessarily “trying out”. There are slot of opportunities if kids and families take advantage of them. We have participated in Soccer, archery, fine arts and social events. My alumni credits the rigors of dual enrollment with her success in college and my son loves being able to do AP and dual enrollment and earn college credit. It’s a sacrifice to pay tuition for school but it’s well worth it and helps mold kids into productive Christian adults.

Our kids transferred from the public school to PCS when they were in 9th and 10th grades. Although we were excited about the idea that our kids would be going to a school that shared our faith and our values, we were concerned that we would have to make academic sacrifices because the school is so small. We could not have been more wrong. Our kids both graduated from PCS with plenty of college credits that easily transferred to their respective colleges and they both found that they were better prepared for the rigors of college classes than their public school counterparts. Our son was accepted to his first choice school (Virginia Tech's College of Engineering) and, because he started his freshman year with 21(!!!) credits, was able to graduate with his master's in Aerospace Engineering in 5 years. Our daughter attended Pitt and was often complimented on her writing skills which she credits to the teaching she received at PCS. The small classroom size is ideal for learning at any pace. Most importantly, the faculty, administration, student body, and families of PCS share a common mission - to glorify God in all they do. Whether in the classroom or on the soccer field, Christ is at the center. Students are not only encouraged and expected to learn biblical truths, but to walk them in and out of the classroom. Opportunities for missions (locally and abroad) are offered regularly and a worship service is held weekly. Our children grew academically, socially, and spiritually more than we could have ever imagined at PCS. We would recommend PCS to any family desiring the same for their children.

I am currently a Junior here at PCS. I have moved many different times and Portersville is the best school i have attended. First, i want to start off by saying they have a great Christian teaching program. When i came here, i didn't have many expectations, but i was shocked with how much teachers and students are actually devoted to God. I LOVE IT! I also love the teachers. I can go to them for anything and they're always willing to help with that one on one time. I love being able to build relationships up with my friends also, and grow in our faith together. Its a life changing experience. PCS is a small school and that means you can get closer with people, and building relationships is always important. i really do encourage anyone to come to this school!!

We moved our kids from Seneca Valley schools a few years ago to PCS. It was the best move we ever made. We were interested in an education which integrated and emphasized the Christian faith, but we got a whole lot more than that. The academic environment challenged our students to do their best, the achievement level was so much higher than Seneca, the teachers care, the administration is excellent and the athletic and fine arts activities are great, with a lot of family involvement and atmosphere. The tuition and fees are also lower than most surrounding Christian schools, and they are fully accredited.

If you are looking for a quality education. Look no further than PCS. I went to this school for most of my elementary, junior high and high school years. The academics at the school are rigorous and help prepare you for college or to enter the workforce. However, biblically, the school is questionable. Although PCS holds high Christian standards, they don't always live up to them. I hope to send my kids to a school that will give them such a good quality academic education. However, I would not send my child to PCS as a Christian school. From what I here, students can get a good academic education and public schools and they can learn to defend their faith rather than pretending that they have faith at all.
