Read what parents are saying about 21st Century Cyber CSTerrible experience overall. The best part was that I was allowed to take AP courses, which I enjoyed. Also, the online format lets you complete school very easily. I had some teachers who were knowledgeable and highly helpful to me, but I feel I picked up on horribly lazy attitudes from others. This does not offer or compete with a public school experience. If you are someone who can handle challenge and enjoys school, just go to a good school district and deal with the issues. After attending this school for four years, I am not prepared for college. I would not recommend it for anyone who wants to seriously invest in themself. It is for people who want school to be easy. I am very upset that my parents kept me within this system. I am not sure I can regain a better level of real world experience, ever. If you enjoy real life, and you enjoy challenge, do NOT choose an online school! It will not offer individualized performance. It assumes everyone is the same. It may crush you.
Posted by a community member on 4/3/2022My daughter started here in the last quarter of her 6th grade year. And, it was the best choice ever for us. She absolutely loves it! It has taught her so much in the way of technology, responsibility, time management, etc. I feel confident she will be well prepared for college. In addition, her teachers are all so very supportive and are make themselves available whenever she made need help. She also stays so actively involved, with all the school field trips and adventure club trips...there is always something to do.
Posted by a parent on 4/23/2019We have been through several schools looking for the right fit for my son. This school has blown away my expectations. My son is on the gifted side but struggles in other ways. This school has been the perfect balance for us.
Posted by a parent on 4/9/2019This school is amazing. I switched to this school in 6th grade, and I finished the entire school year in January. I was given an extra course from 7th grade, and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. This school is perfect for everyone!
Posted by a student on 9/19/2018I do enjoy the curriculum that the school offers. Any time that I have personally sent an email, I have received a very timely response. My concerns are: 1. The teachers seem a little overwhelmed. Grading is very slow making it difficult to keep track of your child's progress. 2. Promises of help get quickly forgotten. I have asked for help on a couple of occasions and the help has been enthusiastically offered but seldom followed up on. Times have been set up for help, and then forgotten by the teachers on multiple occasions by more than one teacher. If your child excels in school, is self motivated, and does not struggle in any subjects, then this is a good school. However if your child struggles in any of these areas, you the parent must intervene and help and not rely on the school for the added guidance and assistance needed.

My oldest is now in HS but still feels like she is a part of the community. It’s a beautiful place full of joy and optimism. I feel that both my kids know themselves and see themselves has having an important place in the world. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was at villa for two years. Unless you want your kid to turn out as someone who cant express themselves, don't put them in villa. The social atmosphere is absolutely horrible. My first year I spent half of the year with no friends, and there was barely any help with that. I was not welcomed warmly. I felt weird, and odd. I did make friends though, at the end of the year. But I lost those friends and ended my second year with 2 friends. We were all outcasted because we were different. I was being talked about, bullied behind my back, and outcasted. Teachers do not do anything about this, they barely even recognize the situations (or care). Nor do they parents get note of the bad social atmosphere, they hear it from their children directly. It got so bad I moved schools, and im happier than ever. I learned im not weird and odd, it was just the girls at my former school who made me think that (and unfortunaly the teacher's too). Villa may not say it, but villa is about blending in. Not being yourself. Do not send your children here, my little sister is starting to get bullied by her own friends now. There ate false rumors being spread about her. There are many better schools, do not go here. (Stuff I want to add; one of the nuns there told one of my friends that she hated me. All because I looked different. I was incredibly happy with my looks, but she wasn't. Anyways, hey villa, thanks for how miserable you made me. Also this is a very obviously homophobic school, careful!)Other Review5mo ago
