Read what parents are saying about Crooked Oak High SchoolGood school.Has teachers that aren't here just for the paycheck. (When you ask for help if needed, of course.)Great personalities in the teachers all around. Students in the middle school need self control and a good role model. But that is a personal problem. Overall, good school if you aren't picky.

Posted by a parent on 7/2/2021As for me, I am a student who cares. I really believe that the staff cares but it’s very hard to teach students who don’t want to learn. Yes there are some unorganized teachers and can be quite confusing but I rarely see a student trying to get more information about it than complain. Many students don’t care about their grades and what not but complain when they fail. Overall I love this school, once you actually talk to the teachers for more help they really do try to help you understand but in a room where kids don’t care it’s hard to learn.
Posted by a student on 3/7/2018There are a few GREAT leaders at this school, the guidance counselor and the elementary principal particularly. However, the school board and the superintendent are ignorant and hateful, unqualified for their jobs. I'm not sure anyone on the school board has even been to college. The superintendent is disconnected from the school and could care less about the students. Most of the teachers aren't qualified and have no business being in charge of children. The kids are great, but deserve much better from the teachers and administrators at this school.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s an overall good school but the staff needs improvement. They lack communication skills. Between teachers and other staff members covering up mistakes, To waiting for the last min to report an accident.. I’m started to realize the name of the school now.Parent Review1y ago - Del City Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is nice, but ignorant of laws related to students with disabilities. It was a struggle to get supports in place, because the teacher dragged their feet submitting the paperwork for an IEP for my child with behavioral and learning disabilities, despite the request being made in writing on the first day of school, and they were chronically suspended or taken out of class for trivial offenses the entire year. Admittedly, my child had substantial conduct problems, but the teacher would not follow the 504 plan that took 6 months to get in place, and the principal backed the teacher every time. I felt bullied and shamed the entire school for my child's behavior, even though the kid was generally well behaved and did their work when the plan was being followed. This was our first any only year at this school, my child has had these problems since pre-K, and we have never had this much difficulty getting supports in place and having their behavior plan followed.Parent Review1y ago - Epperly Heights Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageworst school i ever went to, also the first time i went to a real school instead of being homeschooled. my parents needed somewhere near where they worked, and this seemed like the best option. it wasnt. most of the kids a delinquents who where kicked out of other schools, and they always went unpunished. aftercare for students was provided by literal teenagers, not even in their final year, you couldnt care less. kids went wild in class, and one boy even threw a soccer ball at me, breaking my glasses. im legally blind, so i kinda need those. one kid tried tripping me at the top of a staircase so id fall down the stairs, and when i told the teachers they did nothing. i was a grade ahead of my age level, but the staff trued really hard to keep me back in my age range- it didnt work. the food was not nutritious or that healthy, and i ended up with literal malnutrition, so i ended up bringing my own meals, which made the bullying pick up. the teachers and staff were also terrible, and very biased. honestly, i really loved school before this. i loved learning new things, and i really did work hard and enjoy it. after going here, my work ethic just dropped. i thought “why work hard if nothing comes from it?” i was always assigned more work than others and it drained me severely to finish it all in time. by the time i left i just had no will to do anything, had worsened my insomnia, and i was so scared of going to school with other people (thought all schools would be like it), and ive only recently gotten over that fear, by going to a high school that people at destiny said was horrible with tons of bullying and drugs- it turned out to be the most welcoming place ive been. long story short, school has bullying problems, contributed to my malnutrition, literally traumatized me (not severely), is very biased, and over worked me to the point of passing out. if its not obvious, i do NOT recommend!Other Review1y ago
