My fourth grader has been learning consistently and when they need help it is there. I can’t wait for next year.

This is my perspective from a student that just recently graduated. In this school teachers are respectful and they teach fine in my experience but the racism from the kids in this school has got to STOP I have heard kids left and right calling each other racist things/names and say it’s a joke but it’s not funny at all it’s disrespectful also homophobia, lack of discipline, and other things go on here.

As a graduate of OLQM, I can honestly say it is a home away from home. My grandmother attended school there in the 40s, my mom in the late 60's/early 70s, and I in 2008. The greatest things about OLQM is the faith-based community. Since it is a small school, everyone knows each other- sort of like a family. As a community, we would get together to celebrate for religious holidays, holy days, and other events. It was the amazing work of the educators and principal, that inspired me to become an educator. When receiving newsletters, I can tell that this loving community is still as strong as ever and I couldn't be prouder to be an alum.
