Read what parents are saying about Jowonio Schooljowonio is an inclusive school for young children who learn the value of accepting other children with differences.
Posted by a community member on 10/14/2013My family and I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Jowonio. As an inclusive environment, they cater to children of all developmental stages and abilities. Most of the classrooms seem to have a strong focus on process rather than product (our experience has been in the Dragonfly Room) and pay a lot of attention to helping children communicate their thoughts and feelings. My son is being taught in a school where he sees children in wheelchairs, with walkers and with differing physical capabilities which I believe will help him to become an adult who will understand that physicality has so little to do with character and worth. This is something that is taught in many schools as a side note or in a 'different' classroom for 'different' people. Jowonio's staff seems to really care about allowing children to be children and finding a way to help them navigate this sometimes overwhelming stage of life.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe just recently moved and my nephew takes the after school program we were told his bus would arrive at 6:46pm to the new place, to get a phone call at 6:06pm that the bus came and left and was apparently sitting for 20 minutes. The woman on the phone gave the absolute nastiest attitude and said we should’ve been waiting outside basically before 6pm and stated my nephew would be left at the school with the janitors cz everyone was gone and she leaves once the buses leave. Does not make me feel safe and secure that my nephew is safe and well looked after here. Completely and disgusting behavior. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere better.Other Review1mo ago - Edward Smith K 8 School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have felt embraced by the Holy Cross Community as a whole, even though we are not a part of the church. My daughter loves it there, everyone knows her by name, the full time nurse is a wonderful asset, particularly for families who have children with any special concerns, and the education offered is better than the local public schools without question.Parent Review4y ago - Manlius Pebble Hill School
