Read what parents are saying about Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons SchoolA fun school with something for everyone. I can't tell you how fun it has been to see my kids play sports and in plays and see them growing. It makes me proud that they are doing well in school and in a positive, catholic atmosphere to learn from.
Posted by a parent on 1/22/2015My husband and I are both alumni and it is good to see that the school is still so great. The teachers are wonderful and very concerned for the well being of the students. The class sizes are nice, they are up to date with technology, and just all around great.
Posted by a parent on 7/2/2014My daughter has been here for four years.. They have a great curriculum in place and offer a lot of activities. She does track, mock trial, student council, almost too many. She has been doing well and I'm so proud!
Posted by a parent on 5/30/2014Our public school district was making so many changes and changing their story so many times that we decided to enroll our daughter in ND-BG last year. My daughter has blossomed into a bright young woman. The number of students in each grade is small so the student to teacher ratio is great. If she needs help she gets it. She has an IEP for a reading disability and ND-BG is able to provide her with assistance and individualized attention. The public school might not have been able to provide the same level of support (although they are supposed to). 2013 graduating class of 44 students received 5.7 million dollars in scholarships. That averages out to about 130,000 per student over 4 years. I'd say the cost of tuition is more than covered by the college scholarships received.
Posted by a parent on 9/10/2013My children transferred to BG from a public school and we couldn't be any happier! The school is like one big family from Administration to faculty right down to the students. The teachers are always available for help and put the students first! It is very challenging and we feel we could rest assure that our children will be prepared for college! Excellent school, best choice we ever made!!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could give this school a 0 I would. This school is a joke. The teachers are a joke. They don't teach the children anything. They busy trying to get food or gossip through out the day. Don't waste your money here. Your child isn't going to get the education it needs. Some of the teachers don't even teach the kids the right things. Two of my kids went to this school and I had to take them out. You don't want your child coming home saying they don't want to go back to school because the teacher yelled at them to be quite. These are kids your suppose help them grow and become better Muslims. If I was you I would be looking for a different school in the district.Parent Review11mo ago - St Helens School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m very happy with my child’s experience at St. Kateri’s. How many kids do you know who get up set when there is a snow day? I don’t know many. But that is how my daughter feels. She is so happy to get back to her teacher and friends every day. I feel she is truly cared about at this school. Not only are the teachers caring, but the principal has to be one of the kindest and caring people I have ever met. It is clear that her number 1 priority is the well being of ALL the students at this school. I feel lucky that my daughter has so many caring people around her at school. And to me that is the most important thing. Her feeling of being safe and happy at school.Parent Review5y ago - St. Paul the Apostle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI keep getting impressed in my dealings with Brown School by how clear it is that everyone working there LOVES kids! You might think, duh, they work at a school, but after interacting with two "top" school districts here in the Capital District and a similar one in Western Mass., I call or show up at the door at Brown School and think, wow! This is nice! They "get" kids here. They want to deal with real kids and their families. Instead of acting like guards at the Tower of London, they're kind and helpful... and hey, one of the core staffers is willing to pretend to be in the Tower Guard, but only because it makes my youngest child break out in peals of laughter.Brown School has very strong academics, but they really do treat their students as individuals, so the academic rigor does not translate into pressure. If you're looking for a school that broadcasts how alternative it is in every way, this might not be the best fit, but based on the experiences of my kids and their friends, Brown School is a place where students who have struggled elsewhere can really blossom. When I've needed to bring up a concern, the school director has been more than ready to take that concern seriously. At the same time, she and the board really do seem to appreciate that teachers are the heart of a school! All of my kids have learning issues of different kinds, and the approach Brown School has taken has been very helpful before and after those issues were identified. At one point, one of my kids was going over to a very highly regarded public school for support services then coming to Brown School... the teachers were incredibly helpful, and the contrast became so clear: on one side, the administration reviewed my son's assessments and said, "oh great! He's making so much progress, we can reduce his sessions each week!" At Brown School, the classroom teacher reviewed the same assessments, applied her own observations, and said, "oh great! He's making so much progress! He's participating more in this way, but I'd like to see him participating even more fully! Here are a couple suggestions for how else we might support him..." And the Brown School administration backed her up, and my son really benefited. A world of difference.Parent Review1y ago - Tree of Life Christian Academy
