The principal is an egomaniac Napoleon style who speaks to people with no respect. Athletics especially tennis is a joke. Favoritism and politics rule. Stay away from this school.

After reading the reviews of St. Anthony's High School, I feel compelled to write a review of my daughter's experience. We toured St. Anthony's in the spring of 2019. My daughter fell in love with the science offerings at St. Anthony's, particularly fascinated by the virtual reality cadaver table. For transparency, yes, my daughter is a diligent, high-achieving student, where academics come naturally to her. She is not a sports-minded child but definitely a theatre kid. I walked around thinking "wow, these people have an unnatural amount of school spirit."With the pandemic hitting us in March of 2020, she left that day as a freshman and did not walk the halls again until September 2021 (the first day of her junior year). Remote learning, challenging and she did feel disconnected from her peers and many of her teachers. However, any time she reached out directly to teachers, she received a response and the support she needed to succeed. The Science Scholars program has afforded her opportunities to intern in a world renowned laboratory on Long Island. I don't believe she would have had this opportunity otherwise. She is better prepared for college research opportunities as a direct result of this program. The Anatomy and Physiology instructor, as well as the EMT instructor have been integral in fueling her passion for medicine and helping her community. She had a significant injury just prior to her senior year which necessitated surgery and her missing the first 6 weeks of school, while taking 5 AP classes. The support that she received from the principal and more specifically, the Dean of Academics and Director of Studies, was nothing short of astounding. The Dean was in constant communication with my daughter, and our family and intervened consistently, empathically and respectfully throughout her absence, and return to school. It is approaching the end of April and my daughter is still navigating her world while she heals from this injury. She will graduate this spring, a more confident and empathic student as a result of their support. My daughter consistently says the difference between her experience at St. Anthony's vs. the experience her peers have had at our local HS is that the teachers are personally invested in student success. Of course there were teachers she didn't "like" but she noted their kindness and empathy nonetheless. I can wholeheartedly recommend St. Anthony's & have become one of their passionate supporters.

Rude deans, beyond disrespectful. Pick on kids and only care about money. Teachers dont teach, kids do all sorts of bad things

St. Anthony’s HS is a gift. After having a typical and successful Public School experience, My son chose to attend SAHS and traveled 30 minutes per day to attend. They uniform and jacket and Tie alone make you feel like you have a responsibility to yourself and your school and the task at hand. Going into his SAHS experience, My son was ambitious and wanted to be a Division 1 Athlete and attend an Ivy League School. That was his stated goal and the motivation of each and everyday of his High School experience. Without summarizing all the details (there were definitely personal wins and losses), his experience started by trying out for QB in their exceptional football program. He was a good athlete but there were better ones and he wound up getting repositioned and starting as a defensive back. He also played Basketball (and was cut sophomore year) and was a very good a baseball player who was successful and well regarded within their program. Academically he was solid. 98 average and was a Principal Award Recipient at Graduation. Many of his peers were exceptional student athletes as well. As we know, Covid ruined Senior Year baseball but within his Journey, with SAHS as his platform, he received a perfect score on the math portion of the SAT. Regarding College, he attended several “invite only” baseball camps at IVY league schools but didn’t like the liberal Vibe and was only offered a favored salon opportunity. However because of the totality of his efforts, the universe aligned for him and he now attends West Point and I can proudly share he was inducted into their Math Honor Society this past Month. BTW my sons 10th grade defensive backfield teammates now attend; (WP), Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and the other received a D1 Scholarship to play Football!! So our story and SAHS speak for itself and we are eternally grateful to SAHS’s role every step of the way! However to all of SAHS critics, remember it’s you (and your child) that has to make the most of your opportunities and to use the tools at your disposal as you develop your hopes and dreams. SAHS is an amazing Tool but in life, success isn’t given to you it’s earned!! Remember that. Live that. There’s so much more I could detail but I will leave you with this, Thank you St Anthony’s HS. Friars Forever!!

This is the first time I am leaving a bad review for a catholic school. I feel obligated to warn others in order to rethink their decision to put their children at saint anthony’s. Some of the teachers dont care about students. The dean of academic and the principal are very disrespectful. If you have a discussion with them they don’t pay attention to what you have to say unless you agreed with them. Their focus is not about academic instead it’s about athletics. The school is not the best. They are not trying to be better. To be honest I believe this school will go down if they dont shape up.
