Although there are some negative and derogatory comments below, I assure you that the individuals must be uninformed and unappreciative of the many academic and social advantages this educational institution has to offer. Furthermore, unlike these frustrated and perhaps jaded parents, I assure you my review will be grammatically correct and void of personal antagonism. First and foremost, my son transferred to Saint Gerard Majella this school year. The curriculum and academic rigor is of a higher level and more challenging than his previous school. Secondly, the lunch program has various options and all cafeteria workers / teachers take a personal interest in providing children nutritious food. They cook everything from plantains to pasta. Yes cook, not defrost and or thaw. Thirdly, my son has succeeded not only academically but socially. The school offers many opportunities to build a sense of community between church, school, and family. Lastly, Sister Jo-Ann (and this is how you spell it) provides a heartfelt effort in raising money in order to provide our kids numerous learning opportunities as well as fun filled events. I CLEARLY see that my son as well as myself have been positively impacted by Saint Gerard Majella School. As a mother and teacher, I know quality education when I see it. I'm sorry that other individuals feel differently, but every school has it's flaws. One person's experience does not reflect the values, beliefs, and academic success that this school provides to its children.
