Read what parents are saying about Lacordaire AcademyWe love Laco! Our family has been at the school for three years, and between our kids we have experienced most of the Lower School grades. It is a relief to know that our children are in great hands while still being held to a high academic standard. Thank you Laco!
Posted by a parent on 3/2/2024We will never stop regretting our decision to send our child to this absolutely horrible school.
Posted by a parent on 5/1/2023My daughter is in the upper school and is exceeding all expectations because the Academy has prepared her to do so and she demands it of herself. The Academy sustains a rigorous academic workload; the students are expected to be involved in many of the extracurricular clubs, organizations, and sports teams; spirituality, morals, and ethics are a part of the student's daily school life; and, community involvement is encouraged and service hours are required. Since the Academy's high school is small, an individualized education is received. Curriculums are tailored to meet the needs of the students. The elite universities and colleges that these young women receive acceptance to and the total amount of academic scholarships that they are awarded each year is a testament to the quality of the education provided by the Academy. When a Lacordaire Lady begins her university life, she most often finds that she is more than prepared, even finding some of the core college classes, remedial, in comparison to her Academy classes. My husband and I are very pleased with Lacordaire Academy and we are always happy to share our positive experiences with fellow parents and colleagues.
Posted by a parent on 3/10/2017All girl school. Good feild hocky team. Campus feel with excellent prep for college. Small classes and individual attention. This extra attention makes all the differnce for behind the curve in certain classes. Teachers care and a good language program in French.
Posted by a community member on 6/4/2014Don't waste your money!!! This school is not what it pretends to be. We are so lucky to have found a better private school for our children. Look around!! They put a very good show....and that is how they got us.....DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY...

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had an excellent experience at this school. Teachers and Principal are wonderful, competent and understanding. Academically advanced, they actually have a much better curriculum than the previous school my kids went to. I love how they work a lot on issues like respect and diversity! The community and parents are very supportive and are always present. The kids are nice and that helped us a lot because my kids are very shy. A complete and very welcoming school in my view.Parent Review2y ago - Forest Ave School

However, after checking this website, I felt that I must share my experience and provide a heartfelt review of St. Cassian School. As a parent, I have had the privilege of being a part of this exceptional educational institution, and I am truly impressed by the dedication, quality of education, and overall learning environment provided at St. Cassian School.St. Cassian School prioritizes academic excellence by fostering a challenging yet supportive learning environment. The curriculum is great! It’s designed to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The school consistently achieves outstanding academic results. At St. Cassian, education goes beyond textbooks. They offer extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and community service. Students can participate in Choral Music, Musical Theater, Bell Ensemble. Last year, the students played Frozen Musical in collaboration with Bergen PAC, it was outstanding!! They also have additional activities like Mini Model Program, Mock trial, Robotics, etc.The teachers are highly qualified; they try to understand each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, tailoring their teaching methods accordingly. They combine the curriculum with Arts and technology to make learning more interesting, fun, and engaging. The technology is top-notch! Every class has a smart board, and each student has an iPad or a chrome book, depending on the grade. Students have access to the paper copy of their books as well as the online version (nobody wants to carry the huge heavy paper books every day!)They have regular parent-teacher meetings, and many school activities that create a supportive network where parents are actively engaged in their child's education. The community is wonderful! Not just the kids make friends at St. Cassian School, parents do too!In conclusion, St. Cassian school is an outstanding educational institution that excels in every aspect. It provides students with a well-rounded education and prepares them for the challenges of the future. The supportive faculty, state-of-the-art activities, parent-teacher collaboration, and wonderful community, enhance the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend St. Cassian School to any parent seeking a nurturing and excellent educational environment for their kids.Parent Review2mo ago - St Thomas The Apostle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSTA is a home for our children and our family! The community is wonderful! The teachers and administration are very welcoming and their lines of communication are always open to all families! I must say when I was toured by Mr. Petrillo he was very energetic and passionate about everything that is St. Thomas the Apostle School. His energy emulates through the teachers, and it shows in the work of the students. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking!Parent Review1y ago - Lacordaire Academy
