Posted by a parent on 5/11/2021It is actually the best school ever.
Posted by a parent on 10/28/2018I believe the school struggles in the academics dept. Classrooms seems dull and uninviting. Parent conferences are rushed. Communication can be inconsistent depending on teacher. With such a diverse student body a diverse staff would be beneficial for students.
Posted by a parent on 3/28/2018My daughter went to this school- 3 years there were no issues. 2016-2017 school year however, a new principle came. The teacher my son had was god awful. She bullied the kids and if you weren't THE perfect student and a teachers pet she punished the children for it. She was awful. Made the entire year horrible for both students and their parents. The principle was great 2013-2016! The 2016-2017 school year however, a new principle came that has a 'military outlook'. The SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL I requested that my son be removed from the class he was in, because the teacher was not a good fit for him. The principle was rude, ignorant and disrespectful. Her tone was condescending and she told me that it's "too far in the school year to change classes". The second week of school. There were ongoing situations like this that made the year hard. I ended up having to go to the super attendant.
Posted by a parent on 7/18/2017Howard R Yokum elementary school is a great school. My twins are in kindergarten. My kids love their school and their class teacher. Teachers are great and very helpful. I am glad my kids are in good hand:)

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOlph is more than a school, it is a family. Like every family sometimes there are bumps but those bumps are in the past and our future is looking bright. We have upgraded programs, dedicated teachers and a wonderful Principal starting her 2nd year with our family. I would not send my children anywhere else.Parent Review4y ago - Westfield Friends School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child's experience at Westfield helped build a foundation of kindness, acceptance of diversity, and the sense that she can make a difference with service. She learned that any answer is a good answer, no matter if it's right or wrong - that we learn even more from our mistakes. She experienced a challenging and engaging curriculum and a comprehensive art and music program. Practicing silence and introspection during weekly all-school meetings for worship was an invaluable tool to allow her to sit with her thoughts, feel her sense of self, and see others as equals. She loved the field trips throughout the years, especially when they went on the overnight ones. The responsive tuition program allows families who might not otherwise afford Westfield to be able to experience this wonderful little school. The sense of community among the families was also very important and helped parents feel a part of their child's experience. I recommend this school wholeheartedly. It is an experience not to be missed.Parent Review3mo ago - Martin Luther Christian School
