a week agoNEWSince the new principal, Ms. Coyne has taken over the school has gone completely downhill. The teachers are overworked, underpaid and treated poorly. She took lunch away, so there is no lunch offered for students, all kids have to come with a packed lunch. God forbid they forget it at home, they r given ramen or pretzels. Multiple teachers and staff leave each year bc of her and her manic ways. There is no privacy for families as she has been heard gossiping about most of the students and families out in public in negative ways. Specifically at the summer carnival. The enrollment has gone down significantly she came in and most families leave bc of her. The only good thing that can be said about this school is the teachers are dedicated and they all have heart for what they do, lets face it they are amazing having to put up with her! Shes been caught in lies after lies… she sure does put on a good show for tours, which she did for our family. It was only a matter of time until the truth prevailed. One year was way too long for my family until we left. Its such a shame, if the school wants a fighting chance send her back North

LCA was a great school for our boys. The preschool programs were challenging and fun. The kids are taught not only school subjects but also social skills, how to get along with others, be kind and respectful, etc. the school mirrored what we were working on at home. There are consequences for actions and both good and bad decisions, which we no longer see in the public school system. We move away but still miss the family atmosphere at LCA. God is taught in a real way and they practice what they preach.
