Read what parents are saying about Soaring Heights Charter SchoolI recently had the opportunity to enroll my child in the Soaring Heights school, and I must say that our experience was quite disappointing. While I had high hopes for this institution, it fell short of my expectations in several key areas. Firstly, the school's infrastructure left much to be desired. The facilities were outdated and quite small. This not only affected the overall learning environment but student were unable to socialize with each other. Moreover, the teaching methods employed by the faculty were ineffective and uninspiring. It seemed as though they followed a one-size-fits-all approach, failing to cater to the diverse learning styles and individual needs of the students. The lack of innovation and creativity in their teaching strategies made the classroom experience dull and unengaging. Additionally, the communication between the school administration and parents was abysmal. There was a noticeable lack of transparency regarding important school policies, events, and academic progress updates. It often felt like parents were kept in the dark until there was a more serious concern, making it difficult to actively participate in their child's education. Furthermore, the extracurricular activities offered at the school were severely limited. While a well rounded education involves more than just academics, Soaring Heights school seemed to overlook the importance of providing diverse opportunities for students to explore their interests and talents outside of the classroom. Lastly, the school's approach to addressing student concerns and grievances was unsatisfactory. To be honest, it was poor. The administration appeared to be dismissive, unresponsive, and unwilling to take meaningful and constructive actions. This lack of support and empathy left my children feeling unheard and discouraged. In conclusion, Soaring Heights school's poor infrastructure, ineffective teaching methods, lack of communication, limited extracurricular activities, and inadequate student support make it an unsatisfactory choice for those seeking a quality educational experience. As a concerned parent, I would strongly advise considering other options that prioritize holistic development and foster a positive learning environment.
Posted by a parent on 8/22/2023My experience with Soaring Heights has been fantastic. I have two children who attend the school and they both receive extra support when needed. The curriculum is engaging and rigorous; it pushes the students to challenge themselves.
Posted by a parent on 6/8/2020Amazing! Soaring Heights is a warm and loving environment for my children. I feel they are challenged at a high level which Is a lot of work, but well worth it when I see how much my children know about the works around them.

Posted by a parent on 6/28/2019My son has been in this school since kindergarten. He best part of this school is it is small. Every kids get attention. Teachers know every kids in school. The teachers are responsible. They care for education. In the first year my son was nervous about going to school. The teacher and shool nurse helped a lot. Now he is confident and love to school. They also have very nice summer enrichment program. Love this school!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere's nothing wrong with the staff or students it's the school. I had my laptop fixed twice, the first time it was my fault I broke the screen but the one they gave me back was not my laptop. They just swap the broken ones out for another broken one. I was hoping for a fixed one, not one in poor condition. The keys are sticky and there's some weird stuff in between the keys that just grosses me out. I'm using it to type this right now, I have to push really hard just to type a letter. The only reason why there's two stars instead of one is because of the amazing people that I met here. The school's stingy ways are making us pay $20 just for key replacements or $80 for a screen replacement.Student Review1y ago - Whitney M Young

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageP.S.20 would be a happier and healthier environment under different leadership. I’ve witness the principal speak down to the female staff, and mock the children. My family transferred here from NYC, and if it wasn’t for the relationships my children built with their teacher, I would’ve removed them. I highly doubt Mr ileya have children or even likes them in that case. I also get a “hello” when I’m wearing my business suit, on the days I work from home and wear a sweat suit he treats me in accordance to his perception. Other parents feel the same about the lack of leadership on the principals behalf, I even recorded his “ death stare of disgust” when looking at children unaware he’s being watched. I give the school 4 stars due to the teachers.Parent Review2y ago - Number 34 Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son transferred to this school in late September and it has been a breath of fresh air! The staff is accessible and polite. They make sure the children experience life outside of the school with regular trips and programs. I almost lost faith in the public school system but so far, this school is great!Parent Review5y ago - Alexander D. Sullivan No. 30 Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff at the front door are very rude. My mom was going to take my brother because they made him a school transfer, and they told her that they couldn't attend her that she has to go on another day. Like they didn’t care.Other Review2mo ago - James F. Murray No. 38 Elementary School
