Read what parents are saying about Number 6, Marquis Delafayette Elementary SchoolLearningIn my experience, students at this school feel excited about what they're learning.None of the students in this school are excited to learn. The teachers do not know that they're teaching, and they out their anger on their students. They also talk about their students in an extremely disappointing disrespectful.TeachingIn my experience, teachers at this school are respectful, supportive, and motivate their students to learn. The teachers are definitely not respectful or supportive to any of their students. When a student falls behind, they take it to another level by just yelling and embarrassing them in front of the classroom instead of supporting their students and helping them to get themself going again. Also, again, they don't motivate their students to learn and instead try to gaslight them by telling them that the teachers can't do anything and instead blame it on the students. Also, when students try to help each other on the work, the teachers take it seriously by ripping up their work. The teachers damage student's mental health.Social-emotional supportIn my experience, this school supports students' mental health and emotional well-being.As said in the review above, this school does not know how to support a student's mental health. They yell at the students for anything, and their equity is unbelievable. If there is any conflict between two students, the school always believes the student that informs them first. They also don't care about the other students. The vice-principal(s) are also very rude towards the students.Special EducationThis school provides students with disabilities the support and accommodations they require. They do not treat kids with disabilities with the accommodations they require. When a special education kid is crying, they pin them down and do not try to comfort them at all. I think that's all we need to know for this section.SafetyIn my experience, this school provides an environment safe from violence, discrimination, and harsh punishment. In this school, most the doors are broken. You cannot lock the doors at all and his could cost a kid's life if unfortunately, a shooting occurs. Also, there are many fights in this school and many cases of discrimination.Family EngagementIn my experience, the school welcomes and includes families as partners in their children's learning.No. In this school, the only thing they do is tell the parent that their child is failing and move on.

Posted by a parent on 8/24/2022It’s a very nice school. Very kind.
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2022My kids have been going here sense 2017, and it started out rough, but it has definitely come around and has been doing great. I read some reviews and I dont agree with most of them. Things have changed a lot when parents get involved. The principal shows he what's to work with parents and listens to concerns and definitely works on getting them fixed. School #6 just needs more parents to get involved and help... you would be amazed what involvement can do for a school

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is by far the WORST school that I have ever dealt with. They make absolutely no accommodations for children with special needs and instead they suggest that the child complies to what they think they should be doing. They are completely unprofessional and very uneducated. They give you absolutely no resources to what your child is entitled to by law you have to do your own research and ask (demand)for what your child is entitled to by the district. The principal makes absolutely no effort into accommodating the child the social worker doesn’t entail anything of what your child deserves and needs instead follow a guideline and give you the bare minimum to help them. THE WORST !!!!!Parent Review3y ago - Number 16, Madison-Monroe Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly horrible. The teachers were bullies and probably even worst than the students. I can only remember probably 2-3 good teachers. If you were to be bullied in school and told a teacher they would not care one bit. Kids would beat on me in front of them and they would not care and once I told she didn’t care one bit. The teachers only cared if you were one of the favorite ones. They would jump on the bandwagon to be a bully with them. They should honestly be investigated. Truthfully all of them from a past student.Other Review3mo ago
