N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBest school to start your child at. It goes from 3K - Kindergarten. I wanted my child to start school in an environment that’s suitable for her and easy for her to adapt to and she has loved going here from the beginning. Now she’s graduating from Kindergarten this year moving up to another school. This was the perfect starting point. The neighborhood is safe as well. I love the staff at wahlstrom. The security guard does a wonderful job at keeping the kids safe and making sure everyone is good. If you’re nervous about getting your young one into a safe trustworthy school environment, enroll them into Wahlstrom. You’ll love it here and so will your little ones.Parent Review1mo ago - Edward T. Bowser Sr Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWORST School I've ever encountered in my life. There was absolutely no Student Activities no Sports no music no plays no parent-teacher meeting they just lock the kids up in the school and keep the parents totally separate from what's going on inside the school. You have no idea what student is Reading Writing or learning in the school kids can just walk home with no supervision or care. Not to mention the constant fights and police activity going on right next door at the middle school so now you have to worry about the environment your child is about to go into from elementary school. Avoid the school at all costsOther Review10mo ago - Shelia Y. Oliver Academy

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI previously went to this school, and I have to say, I loved it. Everyone, from the security guards to the janitors, felt like family. I was so sad to let this school go, and I would 100% have stayed if they had a middle school and a high school course. The only complaint I ever had was with a teacher. She was a real pain to everyone, and was biased when I came to teaching. The principal, who grew to be an adult friend while I attended there, helped us sort it out, and intervened when the teacher tried to do anything she shouldn't have done. I miss carver, but if you were to send your kids here, they would love it.Other Review2y ago - Whitney E. Houston Academy Elementary School
