This school principal and psych coordinator have a lot to learn. They are dismissive during a meeting trying to find out why a student was showvee twice and slapped as well as threatened and not once did this principal or coordinator feel it was important to let the parents know and instead kept the student who was bullied in a room with 3 teachers interrogated for 30+ minutes and still never bothered to tell the parents!!’ During the meeting the two of them kept making excuses and trying to blame th students who was bullied. Saying it was just a miscommunication. During this finding out there were 2 other incidents!!’ Never once was the parents informed of anything. I’m disappointed angry and will look further Into making sureThose who shouldBe are held accountable. PerhapsThe news would be interested in looking into this matter and others that I’m sure have been pushed under the rug!! What a mess and disappointment as well as disaster waiting to happen for the next child bullied!!’

We have had a mixed experience. Our chief academic complaint is that the science and ELA classes have been very easy. There are some very good teachers at this school and we personally have had a good experience with the administration. Any concerns we have had about bullying/teasing have been appropriately addressed. They have also been responsive and helpful with any academic concerns or needs. But there are many disruptive and poorly behaved students at this school. For example, frequent fights, students vandalizing bathrooms, students throwing and smearing food on the walls and ceiling of the cafeteria and some very disrespectful and entitled behavior. To my knowledge, the school does consistently discipline and address these incidents. But I am not sure how much parental support and follow through they get in return-I suspect this is the issue. Disruptive students are a problem and I can not recommend the school as a result. Truthfully, I blame the parents of these disruptive students.

This school puts children in Advanced/Accelerated classes that shouldn't be to make their numbers look good, they hide standardized test results from parents, and don't include them in records when you transfer to other districts all in an effort to hide what they're doing. If you ever question why your child is struggling in a class, the teacher says its because they aren't turning in assignments, but since EVERYTHING is done on the computer there's no paper trail to prove or disprove this. Your child will either have all 100's in a class or be failing for missed assignments, there's never an inbetween. My daughter was physically assaulted, the child that assaulted her (a student athlete) was never punished. Teachers put entire classes on silent lunch for actions of 1 or 2 students in the class.

I used to go to this school from 2nd grade to 9th and let me tell you why I hated this school for the people who want to go here. Now keep in mind I'm only 15 but that doesn't mean I can't have a full opinion on something. I despised this school because of the continuous bullying against children with disabilities and how overlooked it is. I have Autism and I was put into special ed classes, which meant that all the students knew you were disabled mentally, and/or neurobiologically, and/or physically. What this led to was constant bullying and harassment from other students. My drawings were torn apart, name-calling, being blamed for things I didn't do, and sometimes I would be told to kill myself. I told several principles and they would only talk with the student and let them go. I've also been dress-coded for wearing pants that made me comfortable (jeggings) and my mom had to explain my Autism and sensory disorders. They let me off the hook for pants that weren't even showing much skin. The only person who did something was my 6th-grade English teacher (I love her honestly, the sweetest lady ever!!). I also have gotten in trouble for trying to protect my other autistic or neurobiological friend on the bus because she would be beaten with hardcover science textbooks. This went for everyone with any kind of disability, especially neurobiological. I now go to a different school and even though it isn't great in quality, I'm no longer being bullied for things I cannot control. I wouldn't recommend this school to ANY parent who has children with disabilities if they worry about their child being bullied. I don't want other young autistic children to be bullied to near suicide like I was, mental hospitals aren't fun for young kids, especially since I was only 11. The hospital I was brought to wasn't too bad but the idea is terrifying.

We are very much disappointed particularly with the administration and especially the principal . The principal is very arrogant and disrespectful to staff and parents. The only areas we have found to be very friendly are the front desk and some of the teachers. We regret sending our child to this school and hopefully will find a better alternative for the next academic year.
