All 3 kids, including their father dealt with learning or emotional issues and the grade, middle, and high schools were supportive and skilled.

Overall, Ladue High School has an excellent educational curriculum, teachers, fantastic new facilities. Problems in the Foreign language department with teaching. The school has a lot of sport and club activities, a unique music department! Saying all of that, it will work great if your child can advocate for him/herself. It almost feels that students left to solve their problems on their own—very little support from the administration. If a student falls behind, then this student pretty much left behind, unless parents interfere. School is oriented on independent, self-motivated, aggressive students. The school discourages students who need extra help from teachers to take advanced classes. They want to have an advanced class with no issues. Teachers with a few exceptions are not trained to recognize the problems in students, psychological or any others. Principals are not very supportive. Also, the environment among students is not the best and could be quite toxic due to high competition, and the way some students treat others. Once my child told me that I would not be able to handle her school. She refers to it as "very stressful." despite having good friends in the school. I am not sure if I would choose this school if I would know everything in advance—a harsh environment.

Administration has a blatant disregard towards students with learning differences/difficulties.

The district's administration does not understand civil rights and special education law. Students with disabilities are discouraged from taking higher level courses.

Excellent. It’s an environment that truly gets students ready, not only for college, but for the real world. The teachers are passionate and have a genuine interest in making sure that each student succeeds after graduation.
