Read what parents are saying about Carondelet Leadership AcademyI am moving just tobnot send my child back to this school. I would not suggest anyone to go here. We have had some AWESOME teachers, but the bad weighed out the good.
Posted by a parent on 8/1/2019I wish this was a better review. At the start we loved this school and I am so sad things have turned for the worse. The test scores have dropped ironically at the same time they are marketing their school to the surrounding communities. It seems to me like the money used for that campaign could have gone to extra services for the students and more money for teacher salaries. I hope the best for CLA and their kiddos we have so many wonderful memories with CLA but I cannot risk my sons education.
Posted by a parent on 8/9/2017The school itself has a problem with trying to help kids who have a difficult time with subjects . Their solution is ISS or OSS . They don,t contact parents to let them know if their child need help or offer any tutoring. They have no after school programs and no summer school..kids at this school are better off being home schooled..that is just my opinion
Posted by a community member on 6/14/2017My son and me love this school. The teachers are very nice and friendly and give the students alot of attention. They get small group in math and reading and he didn't get that kind of attention in the public school or in the other charter school he was at before. This is his third school but I think we found where he is going to stay until 8th grade. The school does alot to help the kids. They go on alot of field trips and have special family nights like movie night, bingo, grandparents day, book fair night. This year they had culture night and had food and crafts and stuff for the kids from around the world. People who are mad probably had bad kids that got put out. The school doesn't play with behavior.
Posted by a parent on 12/17/2016The administration of this school is unprofessional and has no idea how to inspire the leadership they are supposed to be teaching. The current principle is not someone you want directing your child's education. Great teachers but poor leadership. I would look elsewhere.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had an excellent experience with this school for my children. Growing up I always heard bad things about it and it carries a stigma for being a low-income school but it tests better and rates better than most others in the area. The teachers are well-trained and compassionate. They offer free breakfast and lunch to all students among many other programs offered to help children in their community. Hancock teaches my gifted child in a challenging, encouraging manner. I can't say enough great things about them.Parent Review4y ago - Woodward Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree with the previous poster. This school does not have a steady leadership in place. . Last school year, the year was started with one principal that was eventually replaced with a different one around the middle of the school year. There are too many changes in principals here, and maybe some teachers too. Plus, the teachers are so overwhelmed with paperwork and bad kids in the room, they have no time for personalized anything with your child. They are too busy putting out fires, and trying to calm the storm. Ive seen some very disrespectful kids, talking back to the teachers and displaying thuglike behavior and bullying other children, and there is nothing done. Kids are roaming and running the halls. My child has said that some of them slam doors, throw things, and then walk out of class. IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This is a shame. The teachers hands are tied. Some bright spots however, are the preschool classes, and the kindergarden classes. If you send your child here, I probably would not send them past kindergarden ( or even preschool since it is free). If you can afford it, I would definitely move and put them in a better school after they attend free preschool and maybe the kindergarden The teachers are doing the best that they can, but they simply cannot keep up with all of the paperwork they have to do and the large numbers of bad problem kids with no hometraining that they have to deal with in their class every day. Mines will be leaving this school when I move in a couple of months, and we can't wait.Parent Review8y ago - Lyon At Blow Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'd Give this School a 5 Because of the Principal here . I think she needs a New Scenery and to be Trained all over again on How to work well with Staff and Parents. The Teachers Do the best that they can here and don't get enough credit for it.Parent Review4y ago - Woerner Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school. The before and after are awesome and reinforce what kids learn in the classroom. The staff are excellent and they have instilled values in my son that reinforce our family values. The kids go on at least two field trips power year to se real world applications of their studies. This is a great school if you want a well rounded education. I encourage everyone to check it out.Parent Review11y ago - Immaculate Heart Of Mary School
