Read what parents are saying about Whitfield SchoolI go to this school, and I love it.
Posted by a student on 4/23/2017We have had nothing but a positive experience with Whitfield and it is the first school where our child enjoys going to school. We really feel the teachers want our child to reach his full potential. I have no worries about our child being cultivated to become an incredible individual who will be prepared for collage and beyond. I highly recommend Whitfield .
Posted by a parent on 10/29/2014I had three children graduate from Whitfield. Each one had a unique learning style with different talents and different interests. Unlike other schools, Whitfield fit itself around each one so that the curriculum met each one's needs and was the perfect amount of challenge. Sports were great (one was on a state championship team) and the arts were even better! Proof of the pudding was college and Whitfield helped find just the right place for each. They were not only ready for college, but excelled from the moment they arrived. Whitfield is a writing school and my kids were well-prepared for college (socially and academically). One is now a Phi Beta Kappa, one passed the bar, and one is in finance. Without Whitfield, I do not believe that my children would have gotten the attention and challenge they needed at our public school and I know that the teacher relationships that my children still enjoy with their former mentors would not be possible. The friends my children made at Whitfield were some of the brightest people they ever met and they have maintained the bond with those same peers as adults. I can't thank Whitfield enough for the difference it made in our lives.

Posted by a parent on 8/12/2013My child was severely bullied by classmates at Whitfield and the administration did little more than shrug, in spite of clear evidence of persistent bullying.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's been four years since my family left this school, and we still suffer from what I can only describe as PTSD. There are many good Christian schools around - but not this one! Bullying, unfair treatment, incompetent leadership, misdiagnoses, and more. Run run run away.Parent Review1y ago - Chesterfield Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you're here because you're curious about if Montessori is right for your child, this is your sign that CMS is a school you should very seriously consider. I was a student here back in the early 00s, from 1st-6th grade, and I can honestly say that CMS was the catalyst for a lifetime of joy of learning. Many of my most cherished memories come from my time at CMS: learning long division with the "racks and tubes" in lower elementary; tracing the chronology of our history on the timeline of life; presenting a research project on stars in upper elementary. At CMS, I learned more than just math facts and how to write an essay--I learned how to be responsible for my own learning and how to nurture meaningful relationships with my teachers and peers. I have now returned to the CMS community as an adult and have found that the school's commitment to its students and to the Montessori approach has not wavered. CMS is the real deal - the Montessori education is authentic and empowering, and the staff care a tremendous amount about the students and the school's mission. If it's not already, CMS should be on your short list of great options for your child.Other Review2y ago - Andrews Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile Andrews has many great qualities, such as their arts program, music, and lauded public speaking, it is, at heart, a mill for students' expected matriculation towards the more expensive private schools in the area. If your child is a "square peg", they will not fit in here, and no attempts will be made to help them understand that their uniqueness is a strength, and not a weakness.Parent Review7mo ago - Countryside Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm fairly confident our family was traumitized by the years spent at this school. There was a parent popularity contest to the extremes (think needy and in need of validation, parent partying dynamic), exclusion, parent/child entitlement, dated curriculum, the curriculum was presented too fast and too much so studying was lengthy and inefficient in elementary school. I wished we never sent our children to Rossman School.Parent Review2mo ago - St. Monica Elementary School
