Read what parents are saying about Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community SchoolMy kids have both had fantastic experiences at this school. It’s a very loving and kind community. The teachers are incredibly invested in every child and spend a lot of time creatively presenting materials. Every teacher we have had there has been like “that one teacher” that must people can remember from their childhood. We moved here from Pittsburgh a few years ago and we’re welcomed into the community like family. I feel so grateful that. iRobot’s is part of our children’s childhood.
Posted by a parent on 11/23/2021The school doesn't care either way, this is a money making enterprise and place of employment instead of a nurturing environment for kids.
Posted by a parent on 10/31/2020My child is a non-conventional learner and has been thriving at Saul Mirowitz, through the merger and into the new facility. The school has provided personalized attention, small classrooms, and joyful and magical learning environment, and additioinal educational resources for every child that needs them, such as occupational therapy, language therapy, individual CARE team plans for children with challenges in certain areas. Choosing this school has simply been the best decision for our child that we could have made. It is a no-brainer for us- with a schoo like this available in St. Louis, we would never consider not sending our children there. The facilities are fabulous- the food is nutritious and excellent, and the Jewish education provided is diverse and accepting. The academic curriculum, which is a dual Judaic studies and secular curriculum, is challenging and rigorous in math, science, reading, and writing. Very importantly, the students are taught to be good people, to care for others and themselves, to be active in causes that they believe in, and to find meaning in Jewish values. The excellent aftercare programs offer gymnastics, fencing, chess, art, many programs.
Posted by a parent on 5/17/2013We are very fortunate to have Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community Scool in St. Louis. Following the success of gratuates of both Legacy schools , makes it clear that this school prides itself in preparing students to learn how to think , discover their sense of self and become global Jewish citizens. This is the first school of its kind in our country, where children learn to honor timeless traditions and think for themselves. As a parent and an educator I give this school a 5 star rating.
Posted by a parent on 10/8/2012As former parents of a child who attended RJA, we disagree with the 4 & 5 star ratings given to the school. This is not a school for non-conventional learners. We were hoping that the small class sizes and "nurturing" environment advertised would help our child, but instead he received less help than at the public school he previously attended. If your child is not "perfect" and needs help and compassion, why pay the tuition when a good public school can help more? It is sad, but not everyone counted and my child's experience is proof. Also, the after school program is lacking and was usually supervised by a teacher who mostly sat at her desk with her laptop and minimally interacted with the kids.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's been four years since my family left this school, and we still suffer from what I can only describe as PTSD. There are many good Christian schools around - but not this one! Bullying, unfair treatment, incompetent leadership, misdiagnoses, and more. Run run run away.Parent Review1y ago - Chesterfield Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you're here because you're curious about if Montessori is right for your child, this is your sign that CMS is a school you should very seriously consider. I was a student here back in the early 00s, from 1st-6th grade, and I can honestly say that CMS was the catalyst for a lifetime of joy of learning. Many of my most cherished memories come from my time at CMS: learning long division with the "racks and tubes" in lower elementary; tracing the chronology of our history on the timeline of life; presenting a research project on stars in upper elementary. At CMS, I learned more than just math facts and how to write an essay--I learned how to be responsible for my own learning and how to nurture meaningful relationships with my teachers and peers. I have now returned to the CMS community as an adult and have found that the school's commitment to its students and to the Montessori approach has not wavered. CMS is the real deal - the Montessori education is authentic and empowering, and the staff care a tremendous amount about the students and the school's mission. If it's not already, CMS should be on your short list of great options for your child.Other Review2y ago - Andrews Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile Andrews has many great qualities, such as their arts program, music, and lauded public speaking, it is, at heart, a mill for students' expected matriculation towards the more expensive private schools in the area. If your child is a "square peg", they will not fit in here, and no attempts will be made to help them understand that their uniqueness is a strength, and not a weakness.Parent Review7mo ago - Countryside Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRossman has provided our family with the best educational, social, and developmental environment we could imagine for our child. The speed at which he has learned new concepts, his ability to think critically and problem solve, his interest in various cultures and topics, and perhaps most importantly - his self confidence - has been taken to a level far beyond his peers at other schools. Teachers are invested and actually seem to enjoy their jobs. The other children are the type of kind, considerate kids with whom we want our child to become friends, and their families are equally as wonderful. We are confident that in choosing Rossman, we are giving our son the best possible educational and developmental foundation.Parent Review1mo ago - St. Monica Elementary School
