Read what parents are saying about Long Middle Community Ed. CenterLong Middle is a great school. With such a small population, the school is a very tight-knit community. The class sizes are small and have a great teacher to student ratio with the average at about 20. The teachers at this school prepare engaging lessons and are extremely motivated to make sure that all kids succeed.
Posted by a community member on 8/8/2017My experience at this school was incredible. I met wonderful teachers that actually cared about the students and found the best ways to teach them. At this school teacher expectations exceed beyond just learning, they want you to grow as a person and see you succeed in anything you do.
Posted by a community member on 8/8/2017this school is just terrible. They have rats and bugs there. If i were you i would NEVER send your kids here. the teachers here are just UN believable there just as bad as the student. Please for the sake of your child needs don't send them to this school.
Posted by a community member on 12/5/2012This school has a very strict principal!!!! You shouldn't ever go to a public school. County Schools are way better than the saint louis public school district!!!!!!
Posted by a community member on 4/25/2011The poor kids who attend this school get lost in the shuffle; from what I hear from my daughter MOST of the teachers (because good teachers are always buried out there somewhere) don't really care what the students are doing as long as they practically aren't knifing each other. I was hoping that the school wouldn't be THAT bad for a StLouis public school, but I am totally depressed with everything I have encountered there. Incompetent system, deliquent/bullying/underachieving kids--the community of youth as a whole deserve better. Parents HAVE TO STEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Children are a privilege, not merely mouths to feed. I know if the parents of this community shaped up, there would be a startling difference for the better in this school.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my daughters have been attending Buder for two years now. The teachers are warm and genuinely caring towards their students. They are also quick to communicate updates, cute stories, accomplishments and any issues. My oldest daughter has ADHD and anxiety and all of her educators have advocated for her and helped her receive the services she needs. I am also pleased with how involved the other parents are. There’s a real sense of community.Parent Review1mo ago - Oak Hill Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a good school. I believe in time with the teachers and principle that they have this school has tremendous potential to rise above. They have already shown some improvement over the past years and I believe attendance also plays a major role as well. The more days children attend school the better.Parent Review5y ago - Woodward Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree with the previous poster. This school does not have a steady leadership in place. . Last school year, the year was started with one principal that was eventually replaced with a different one around the middle of the school year. There are too many changes in principals here, and maybe some teachers too. Plus, the teachers are so overwhelmed with paperwork and bad kids in the room, they have no time for personalized anything with your child. They are too busy putting out fires, and trying to calm the storm. Ive seen some very disrespectful kids, talking back to the teachers and displaying thuglike behavior and bullying other children, and there is nothing done. Kids are roaming and running the halls. My child has said that some of them slam doors, throw things, and then walk out of class. IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This is a shame. The teachers hands are tied. Some bright spots however, are the preschool classes, and the kindergarden classes. If you send your child here, I probably would not send them past kindergarden ( or even preschool since it is free). If you can afford it, I would definitely move and put them in a better school after they attend free preschool and maybe the kindergarden The teachers are doing the best that they can, but they simply cannot keep up with all of the paperwork they have to do and the large numbers of bad problem kids with no hometraining that they have to deal with in their class every day. Mines will be leaving this school when I move in a couple of months, and we can't wait.Parent Review8y ago - Kennard/Classical Jr. Academy

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKennard has served us well. Any complaint would be the lack of understanding regarding student behavior. Kids are impulsive. Writing up a student 25+ times in a school year clearly does nothing to correct behavior. A little compassion would have gone a long way.Parent Review7y ago - Woerner Elementary School
