My son had a bad experience at Justice Page school. School administration was hostile and used suspension as their main tool to deal with challenging students. The principle and her administration do not understand students' concerns and did not listen when we tried to talk to them. They came across extremely arrogant and unfriendly, even to their own stuff. The teachers were high quality and the councilor is superb - we would not have survived at JP without her support.

We have been extremely pleased with Ramsey. The teacher engagement and enthusiasm is very high. The energy is positive and comes from the top down. Principal Marietta is a great leader and presence in the school. Our daughter is a pretty good student and has beech challenged academically at Ramsey and has really grown to be accountable for her schoolwork and success. I think the iPad program contributes to this, as well as the great staff.

There are a few things about this school so far that I LOVE and a few things that could definitely use improvement. My daughter is in 6th grade, so it is still relatively new. We loved the 6th grade trip. My older daughter went to Anthony and this is an improvement as far as the level of engagement and communication with parents! My daughter loves being able to take Arabic. I hate the grading system! This does not prepare them for High School and College AT ALL. My daughter was looking forward to shooting for straight A's, no such luck with the 1-4 system they have and 4's vs 3's seem to be very subjective. Second, they have I-Pads which is great, but we can't afford internet at home so sometimes it is hard for her to do homework if there isn't wi-fi. Plus, they charge you $ for using the I-pad. Lastly, the way they do Parent/Teacher conferences is the worst of any school I've ever seen!!!! You spend 10-15 minutes tops talking to her advisory teacher. There is no chance to talk to any of her other teachers, ask them questions, etc. - just her Advisor. That was very bizarre to me. Her advisor had very little insight into her and what makes her tick. or how she's doing overall

I am a student and I was in 6th grade last year. This school is amazing! All of the teachers are cool and fun and help people learn a lot. Bunches of friendly people too. The iPad program is a good way to help students get good recourses! Sadly I moved to Seattle (far out, right!) so I recommend this school to all people coming for the first time! It is a great environment and I love it<3 I hope this review helped y'all!

We love Ramsey Middle School! We recently moved back to Minneapolis and this is our first experience with the public school system here. We have nothing but great things to say about the school. The staff have created an inclusive and respectful atmosphere among the diverse group of students. My son LOVES going to school! Vicki, in the office, is a gem! The iPad program is well thought out and has been managed well thus far. After years of private school in the Milwaukee area, we couldn't be happier with our son's choice of school. Well done, Ramsey Middle School!
