Read what parents are saying about North Lakes Academy 56We love the small size of the school! There are many seasoned teachers who really do take the time to know and understand your child. They work hard to make it a partnership between the school and the parent!
Posted by a community member on 11/28/2016We have 3 children attending North Lakes Academy. We have been a part of the NLA family for the past 8 years. I absolutely love NLA, and have recommended this school to strangers, family, and friends. NLA provides a learning environment that builds kids up, rather than tearing them down. The students are able to thrive, grow and learn without shame.
Posted by a community member on 11/22/2016I have 4 kids in this school and one more to come. The whole family loves this school! Small class sizes, teacher care about the students, and the school is always open to hear new ideas from the students and the parents. I recommend this school to family, friends, neighbors and strangers! Its a great school with college ready classes!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel this school is a safety concern and here is why: Forest View Elementary. I have had 2 children attend forest view schools so far. When my second child attended this school, she had an IEP. Her IEP was for her ADHD. Due to her diagnosis she needed to see the school health office every day for receiving her medications. She needed these medications to be able to focus and concentrate on her schooling. The school policy is to allow and unlicensed personnel to administer these medications. I promptly said "no". These medications needed to be administered by a licensed person, the school did agree, probable because this is what I wanted. The licensed nurse was going to be out of the office on a Friday and she asked me to come in and medicate her (I'm licensed), so I did. After I medicated her in front of the secretary, who I called ahead of time to tell her why I was coming in, I went home. I received a call 1.5 hours later to inform me my daughter had gotten her medications. The district nurse entered the school walked by the secretary and into the health office with the health assistant and neither of them told the nurse she had already been medicated. Which was set up days in advance. When I found out I came into the school to find the principle, the nurse, the aide, and secretary all in a circle chatting about how they were going to deal with the error. My daughter had been sent back to class. No one was worried about her breathing, vitals, or consciousness. The only thing the school was worried about was how they were about to handle the situation legally. The school refuses to admit there was a mistake made to me or my daughter. It was spread through not to contact me. When I went to discuss the issue with the school the following Monday the secretary told me the principal was at the district office. When I went to the district office, I was told that the principal was in his school. So, in other words instead of talking to me about the mistake made the principal avoided me. Would I recommend this school only if your child does not NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION. NOT IF YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH STAFF IN THE OFFICE. But for educational means I give them a 4. For Special education purposes I rate them 5/5.Parent Review1y ago - Central Montessori Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had the BEST experience at this school for our son! The classes are small and grades are combined after kindergarten so the kids are able to work ahead and stay challenged (while using the Montessori curriculum). All the teachers are great at what they do and really care and have compassion for each kid. It is definitely a hidden gem in Forest Lake!Parent Review7y ago - Maranatha School
