Excellent new building in 2019 on their new campus site with 1st class facilities for academics. Great programs for students looking to excel, and incredibly friendly & helpful staff. Have one kid attending, one that graduated, and one soon to be attending :)

As parents who transferred our children from a public school to SCHS, we couldn't have had a more positive experience. The teachers are excellent and truly care about having the students reach their potential. Most of the students come from homes that the parents are committed to their child's education . It also isn't a school that just pushes everyone towards a college degree but tries to identify what the student excels at, whether that is a job in the trades or at a career that does require a degree. Is it perfect? No. There is no perfect school but it is definitely a school to consider.

Excellent. I attended SCHS and all of my children did as well and they have always maintained a high level of Christian education.

South Christian is excellent academically, but in my experience it was incredibly conservative and closed-minded. This isn't necessarily the school's fault--it tends to attract students from well-off and conservative families, which dictates the policies. SCHS science courses taught me that evolution is unbiblical and that stem cell research is unethical. There was no grey area or area for debate, it was simply "wrong". I was a student at the time of the 2008 presidential election, and students openly used racial slurs or other degrading language toward our president-elect. The only student in my four years to come out as a homosexual was publicly ridiculed, with no repercussions toward those who shouted insults in CHAPEL. What an example of showing Christ's love, right?
