Read what parents are saying about Battle Creek Central High SchoolI will write a review for the school itself and not the students because I believe that individual choices and act are not the school’s fault or control. I’ve been a student at central since freshmen year, and I can definitely say that the school as well as BCPS lives up to their motto, “Believe In the Change.” Of course, I can’t say that this is the best school out of all the schools in Michigan because to make such comparison would need me to attend every school in Michigan to compare, and this school has some flaws just like every other school in the world. And that is where Central and BCpS steps in because they try to improve everyday. The community is trying to change to improve in order to meet the needs of everyone. They truly believe in student voice, teacher and student strong relationship, and meeting every student’s demand the best they can. They are always looking for ways to improve and change for the better. They allow opportunities where students can voice the change or any other issues which I have been part of in many ways so I am a witness to that. Everyone’s experience is different so I can’t speak for everyone but I am surely sincere about my experience with Central. As I mentioned, it isn’t the BEST school and it isn’t fair to compare with other schools but this school surely is a wonderful school in its own ways.
Posted by a student on 4/26/2021When we bought a house in BCPS I was completely against my children going to school here. I didn't want my children to be a number and I wanted it to be personal. I didn't believe in school of choice so I enrolled my children in kindergarten. This ended up being the best thing I could of done. Within months I realized how personal the teachers had staff make BCPS. my children were never a number they were individuals. When one of them struggled in class numerous teachers stepped in and assisted my child with class work and helping them understand the assignments. Buying a house in BCPS and having my children graduate from BCPS was the best thing I did for them. I didn't graduate from BCPS, but I now feel like this is home to me also.
Posted by a parent on 8/3/2020My experience at this school is a good 9/10 because it's a good school but there's some flaws just like any other school but this one's better out of all.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal here is terrible. Been to many schools and she let's these kids terrorize her teachers, break their stuff and they have no consequences. Kids should not feel scared to come to school when classmates throw chairs, break stuff and then they are told to go to a "calm down" corner. This district needs to give these kids harsher consequences and bless the teachers that have to put up with this nonsense!Other Review10mo ago - Verona Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has attended the school for two years. I have had the opportunity to meet all of they teachers. They are very passionate about Christian education. The push students to achieve more. If I had to choose a school for my child, I would choose BCCS all over again.Parent Review11y ago - Battle Creek Montessori Academy
