Read what parents are saying about Grove Park Elementary SchoolThis School is terrible and unprofessional. Whoever send there child here, better prepare themselves! Watch how they talk to students, and yank the kindergarten students arms to move etc... This school has no monitors or good supervision, to keep the children safe. Happy the school is closing. Unprofessional individuals from the Principal Carter, Vice principal goldman, kindergarten teacher, and many others beware of these folks. "Sheep's clothing"
Posted by a community member on 5/1/2017My grandson is doing so well in this school. The teachers and administrators seem to care about the education of the students!

Posted by a community member on 9/27/2012I was a volunteer at Grove Park last school year and enjoyed it very much, and looking forward to returning 9/2012. The kindergarten teachers I worked with were great and showed concern both educationally and personally for the students. The administrative body of the school was helpful and accepted me. Come on parents, join me at Grove Park. (I don't have a student there, and am retired, but wanted to give back!!!)

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school use to be a wonderful school. however this school has failed my child tremendously. The middle school is just horrible, the teachers have no control over the students, the students bully other children .The students curse out the teacher and staff. when asked to please go to class the students don't listen. I feel really bad for the teachers because they ask the students to please allow the students that want to learn let them learn and the students just become rowdy. Arlington has lost a lot of great teachers. As far as the elementary school. Its wonderful. They really care about the elementary students, But as far as that middle school. It just seems as if they don't care. I am now seeking a new middle school for my child, because he was bullied and really didn't have a great experience here. note: he attended this school while in elementary level. so isn't new to the school....Parent Review9y ago - Callaway Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school seem much better with the new principal. He take the time to listen to everyone and smile and welcoming everyone. The kids seem calm and happy even though it's just the beginning of the year but it's better than last year already.Parent Review9y ago - James Mosher Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has went down hill since the new principal took place. I see her staff intervene more than I do her. If you have a complaint she can't never be reached. Instead she will have a teacher or staff call you back to discuss your problems or concerns. They had budget cuts and had to lay off the kindergarten teacher who was more experienced and qualify , And kept someone who was less trained to care for over 30 kindergarten students. I will say it's some teachers who are there that really care about the students and will do anything to see them excell. But it's some who don't have patients for children and have a no touch rule even if a little one just wants a hug or ask a simple question. Staff are afraid to speak up and speak their mind. My daughter kindergarten teacher left in April , no documents were sent out to parents to inform them of this change. The kids runs around the classroom , destroying the classroom, hardly any work has been giving. The have fail this kindergarten class that will be graduating in June 2015. Most of the kids are not ready at all for the first grade. You have parents stepping in trying to help the assistant to keep a hold of the students. It was like a juvenile Dentention center for babies. James mosher used to be a wonderful school now it's just like a baby calverton middle. I hate it and my kid won't be returningOther Review8y ago - Liberty Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average5 stars for my grandson’s pre-k teacher, Tocarra Frederick. He was four years old at the time, and only attended for half of the school year before we moved, but he learned a lot. By the time he entered kindergarten at a new school (which is rated 9/10), he knew so many sight-words that we was ahead of his classmates. He was also reading before his classmates. Today, he is an excellent reader, good in math, science, and other subjects, because of the foundation built with the teaching skills of Ms. Frederick.1 star for so many parents hanging in the hallway and cafeteria, seemingly doing nothing by way of support. I was shocked to see some unruly children running in the halls and no one saying anything. When I asked someone why there’s no discipline, they responded that they were fearful that the child’s parent might be around and may get angry for disciplining the child. That was weird. I hope that has changed.2 stars for the crammed driveway and street to drop off and pickup your child. It’s a mess—although the friendly attendants trying to keep it organized and flowing deserve 5 stars.Parent Review1y ago - Calvin M. Rodwell Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school size is good, and it is in a quiet neighborhood. I do believe staff are not motivated enough to encourage greatness in the students. I don't see a lot of behavior issues with students here. It is just extremely mediocre. I believe that the students would perform well with more challenges to compete, more after school activities, etc. There isn't much to write home about, concerning this school.Parent Review4y ago - Bnos Yisroel

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had our kids at Bnos Yisroel for ten years. I've never seen a school like it. The individualized care and the attention to each child is literally unbelievable!
