Read what parents are saying about Christa Mcauliffe Regional Charter Public SchoolOverall I’m glad my child went here but things could be improved. The math department was horrible, my daughter learned absolutely nothing. The field trips they did were great but I could have seen more academic improvement. I do like that the kids get a recess break unlike most other middle schools, students need that. There is also high staff turnover here meaning most teachers don’t stay at this school for long.
Posted by a parent on 8/4/2022im currently in 7th grade and I've had a great experience so far. the teachers have been nice and helped us learn what we need. i haven't had any problems with bullying.
Posted by a student on 2/17/2022Such a terrible experience with this school. Extremely high teacher turnover, deservedly, and a whole host of admin with no idea what they are doing and no interest in holding students accountable. The teacher who have remained throughout the years care a lot, and they're giving it they're 100% - but it doesn't mean much with such a useless administrative team.
Posted by a teacher on 10/10/2021I have not received a report card for my child. It is hard to know if your child is making any progress at all at this school. I wish there were better communication between teachers and parents. She had one good teacher that calls me to let me know that she was behind on her projects or homeworks and that was extremely helpful. I believe that every parents should not be surprised about her child grades in the report card if there's a good communications with the school. The school lunch policies if you missed the deadline line to fill out a form for your child to get a nutritional balanced meal, you have to wait until the following month. Your child will get cold cereal or muffins for the whole month. Other schools will give your child a sandwich that show that they care about your child and it all so make your child feels that the staff cares.
Posted by a parent on 9/20/2021Communication among staff/faculty does not exist!School failed several times to follow 504 plan accommodations for my child despite lots of phone calls, meetings, etc...Academically, school is not bad.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our second year at Brighton and we now have all three of our children enrolled (Pre-K, 2nd & 5th). After a few years in public school, we decided to look at alternative schooling options that allowed for more flexibility in the classroom and more parent involvement. Brighton has an exceptional balance of strong academics, hands-on learning and play/social learning opportunities. The mixed aged classrooms and shared recess for Pre-K through 6th grade provide so many organic learning and social experiences for the students and really creates a unique environment. It has been such a pleasure getting to know the teachers and administrators over the last two years and we truly feel like we're part of the Brighton family. The strides our two older children have made in terms of self confidence and self advocacy regarding their education have exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier with our decision to choose Brighton for our children.Other Review9mo ago - MetroWest Jewish Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe made the switch to this school for PreK at the start of covid when the public schools went remote but Catholic schools remained open (successfully). It was never our intention to stay beyond PreK, but yet here we are. Child going into 2nd and K and you'd have to drag me out of this school kicking and screaming. The love and caring I have seen has been incredible. I can't imagine my children attending a school where there isn't this type of environment. It is rooted in love and faith and kindness and getting to make and have relationships with other parents due to the small class sizes is wonderful. I have met so many other great parents and people. We know this will be our "home" for our kids through 8th grade. We have made so many sacrifices for our kids to attend this school due to cost, and we continue to do so because of the benefits we experience. I couldn't recommend SBS enough.Other Review9mo ago - The Learning Center For The Deaf

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son has had an absolutely amazing first three months at the Brighton School! He joined in the third grade, and we were initially a little concerned that he'd have a hard time being accepted because most of the kids had been in the school for years. However, everyone was SO welcoming, from the teachers to the administrative team, to the students. He's had a great year so far, and we can't wait for him to come home every day and tell us about all the great things he's done!Parent Review1y ago
