Posted by a parent on 8/25/2022Excel Academy has excellent schools in East Boston and Chelsea. The school works hard to build lifelong relationships with its students and the community. They care so much about helping their students. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a strong academic program that supports all students to achieve their goals.
Posted by a community member on 12/3/2021Great school. Fantastic team of educators. MCAST scores have drop a bit and the school ranks has dropped from top 3 to 13 in school-digger.com but it's still a very good education. I hope they "strap up" again and regain their spot. Highly recommended...IF you can get it

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStarting with Principal McCarthy all the way down to K1, I have been very impressed with faculty's attention and advocacy for the children. Any issues I have had, have been immediately addressed and I feel I can bring any issue forward and will be satisfactorily met.The teachers are amazing in that the ensure the classroom atmosphere is warm and inviting, inclusive, and individualized according to the student's needs. They utilize a Fundations program from kindergarten on, that is very impressive in helping the kids to read. I am happy about the stamina of the 2nd grade teachers this year because they have made a concerted effort to arrange field trips for the kids--a goal of "one per month[!]" I would recommend this school because they provide ample physical education (3x per week), art, music, and theater. The student body is diverse and the school emphasizes community, tolerance, and respect. My only complaint would be that they do not go through the 8th grade. Perhaps something can be done about that... :)Parent Review7y ago - Hugh Roe O'Donnell Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at this school was one of the greatest ever. The teachers are very nice and dedicated. They make sure that all students are treat equally and with respect. And they take there time to make sure everybody understands there assignment, and knows how to finish it. The principal is very kind and caring, she's always there in the morning to greet us and she makes sure that everybody is having an amazing time at our school. (Thanks to Ms. Berman for the new cafeteria)Student Review5y ago - Otis Elementary School

I wish all Chelsea schools where managed the same way. My son is ready for firts grade and I can see how much he has learned over the las 3 years.Other Review7y ago - St Rose School
