Worst job I have ever had. The marines should take a closer look at this school. They disrespect the marine uniform on a daily basis.

Our experience with the teachers and JROTC Instructors was incredible. But there are leadership issues that need to be addressed so the teachers can continue doing the excellent job they do.

Dr. Garcia does not provide this institution with adequate leadership skills, and instead relies on ineffective, dead policies. I was asked to come back the following year, I declined, because the administration is so unprofessional, and was “fired” after expressing that I would not return. I would’ve happily finished the remaining 4 months in the school year, as I was asked to do, by the assistant principal Mrs. Long. However, because of the petty, and personal issues head principal Garcia has, she would rather the record indicate that I was fired. Keep in mind, my intention to not return was mentioned earlier within the same day that I was, “fired.” Never before have I experienced such unprofessional behavior. Never did I receive an explanation as to why my students, who were in the middle of a project, had to suffer the consequences of my absence in the middle of the spring semester. The turnover rate is unbelievably high, I believe 15 teachers left in one year — and rightfully so. NOMMA looks great on the outside, but the toxicity and pettiness of the administration is almost laughable.

School is very structured. Teachers and very invested in the future of students. ROTC instructors are amazing. The only thing that I can say negative is there is no parent involvement and some of the sports are ran by parents of students or former students with little experience for coaching high school level sports.

My son loves the structure and discipline this school has given him. He had the choice to go to any high school in the area, privat or public and he choose this one because he said he felt like it would have him better prepared for college. All of that after attending only one open house at the school and several spend a days at a couple of private schools. He has matured into such a gentleman going here. Best decision we made. Yes, complete uniforms, shoes and physical education, plus tution is free. They have a laptop at their disposal as well throughout the school year. Great school, great staff, great atmosphere.
