Read what parents are saying about Esperanza Charter SchoolExcellent. My grandson is in kindergarten. Esperenza has been a very positive experience for him. He participates in class and has made many friends. He is learning, and loves to learn.
Posted by a parent on 1/11/2019Excellent, we really love this school and the teachers. I m impressed with the parent and child activities such as reading club and I'm excited to see what else we do throughout the year.
Posted by a parent on 10/14/2018I love how the school has changed totally from the teachers to the school as a whole. The are great in academics and sports.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe found this school by accident—our daughter was aging out of daycare, did not get a PreK slot in the lottery for the public schools, and we desperately needed a place to enroll her while we worked. We figured we’d be there a year before transferring her to public kindergarten. Well, that was years ago, and we’re still here at St. John’s, because this school is a gem hiding in plain sight. Our daughter is doing phenomenally both academically and socially, the (very experienced, certified) teachers all know and care about their students, and the principal and support staff run the place with both compassion and common sense. The tuition is VERY reasonable (less than a third of what some friends are paying for their kids at other schools in the city) and well worth every penny. Don’t be fooled by the no-frills look of the place—this place is fantastic and you should check it out.Parent Review1y ago - Encore Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is not what it use to be, people get treated unfairly, bullying is not in the discussion, teachers quitting, teachers pushing people too hard, students are depression because they can't have fun with work in this school, feminist workers who make every single situation about F E M A L E S. I am surprised this school even has a 3 star rating.Parent Review1y ago - Lafayette Academy Of New Orleans

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school ever they don’t teach your kids anything don’t try to help they wait to the end of the school year to update you on. Any problems your kid might have by then it’s to late and their trying to keep your kid back! I took all my kids out this school.Parent Review1y ago - Morris Jeff Community School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son had a bad experience with another student calling him a racial slur. The school handled this situation VERY POORLY. No one reached out far as the head of school, the 3rd-5th grade principal, or disciplinary director. I showed up to the school unannounced TWICE just for something to be done. I also involved the school board because I felt the situation was being swept under the rug. I would write more about this incident but I know they'll remove my comment.Other Review10mo ago - Lafayette Academy Charter School
