Read what parents are saying about J.C. Ellis Elementary SchoolWe have had a great experience. The teachers and staff have been great. They went above and beyond when my child transferred in a few years ago. We have always felt welcome at the school.
Posted by a parent on 8/11/2019Horrible, destructive, negative, and unacceptable. I pulled my child out, despite the tack we live walking distance.
Posted by a parent on 8/23/2018My son has adjusted well in this new atmosphere. I would like to Thank his teachers for their support and for making both of us comfortable. Thanks to Ms. Bertucci, Ms.Crider and Ms.Ridgley
Posted by a parent on 12/9/2015My daughter absolutely loves this school. The staff are very friendly and care about my child needs.
Posted by a parent on 8/12/2015The office staff is not friendly at all, they let you stand there for minutes before they acknowledge that you're there . There aren't enough people of color or male teachers.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat used to be a stellar star of a school has quickly declined since they've returned from Covid. In this school year alone my child has been assaulted by another student, bullied by several different students and I personally witnessed her teacher screaming at her. Her grades have dropped dramatically and her entire demeanor has changed since the beginning of the school year. For her first two years there I would never have dreamed of her going somewhere else but they have lost a lot of their staff and it seems like any teacher with patience is no longer there. They've have THREE different principals in this school year alone. DO NOT send you child here. It is awful, awful, AWFUL.Parent Review1y ago - St. Paul's Episcopal School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the best school we could have asked for! We moved from out of state and the school community at JCDS became our second home as they embraced us and creating a supportive, loving environment for my two elementary aged boys.Parent Review1y ago - St. Dominic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageused to go here, if you are black, LGBTQIA+,etc,do not go here. you will be ridiculed and laughed at til you cant take it anymore. i came home everyday crying and spent most of my days in the counselors office. if your parents arent friends with the other parents you will suffer. dont send your kids here, if you try to get help for bullying you will be ignored (from my experience). teachers are rude and cant do their job. they promise theyre gonna do something with all the money they earn from students and raffles but they dont do anything. if youre not catholic you look crazy to them. kids are rude, and wont hesitate to say something to you. not to mention the lack of diversity. all white kids who look the same and act the same, no personality period. if i could rate 0 i would. school lunch would suck, i remember there was expired milk all the time so everyone knew to avoid it. dont go here, this place made me want to dieOther Review5mo ago - St Louis King Of France School

Our children are loved and receiving an excellent education. We've been to other schools to compare and we couldn't be happier here!Parent Review1mo ago - St. Catherine Of Siena School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNO. NO. NO. on TOP of everything, the community is close. Unless you're different. The families who had children in other grades or were alumni stuck to each other. This did not only affect my family. Advice: This school is fancy. It is. but being singled out both in and out of the classroom....these are parents and children you and your child will have to deal with from at least 8 years.Parent Review4y ago
