Read what parents are saying about Roy Elementary SchoolGreat school i would tell people to come here if i could(I cant speak) but besides being in the hood it's a great school
Posted by a parent on 3/8/2023Great school, my kids all are doing work from teachers recommendation (all above grade level) they challenge them daily. Also, great programs after school. Basketball team and even volleyball teams. Don’t know many schools that offer so much after school programs. As far as my rating for special education, I don’t Know if any kids that fall under special education so really can’t comment on that aspect. Great school.
Posted by a parent on 1/25/2023WORST SCHOOL EVER!!!!! Mannheim district in general does not care about your child’s mental health and helping them in school. ROY SCHOOL was the worst experience for my kindergarten. He started school in that school in September 2021 and immediately you can tell the staff doesn’t care about the kids. My son needed an IEP plan I did EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO DO SO HE CAN HAVE ONE. Once I did everything I needed to do they already gave up on my son and this was already November 2021 they refused to give me the iep plan even though they say they provide it and I did everything I needed to do. The words that the principal Joseph Stanislao gave me “ I’m sorry but we cannot just give your son the IEP PLAN just like that” my response was “SO YOU GUYS DONT HAVE AN IEP PLAN HERE AND YOU LIED TO ME”. The principal responded with “ NO WE JUST CANT GIVE IT TO HIM “ .. as a mother the anger started to sit in I’ll be very honest. They would call me for the small things my son did they already labeled him the bad kid, they already made him feel like they hate him. He hated going to school he would cry everyday refusing to go. After Christmas vacation I decided to transfer him. They made me feel like a bad mother like I wasn’t doing my job at home to teach him right from wrong. ONce I transferred him he has been thriving at the new school EVERYONE loves him there he loves going to school now, the principal at the new school even adores my son they help me so much and gave me son the IEP plan on the first day he got there. PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU KNOW THEY NEED AN IEP PLAN.. THIS SCHOOL IS HONESTLY THE WORST.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe building and district admin are not suitable to be running a school. They allow for no creativity for staff or students. Admin will talk to teachers behind other teachers backs and cause constant distress. The admin does not care to get to know students and help with their learning, they only care about the bottom line or in other words, what the state test scores are. The teachers are amazing but work with no help from admin. They have caused a young teacher to quit in the middle of the year and a group of 6 of us are leaving this year. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. John Vianney school is a wonderful school! The warmth and care of the teachers for their students is amazing. The principal, Mrs. Reith is hard-working and always looks for ways to make the teachers and students feel welcome and have the best learning experience. Love the wonderful catholic faith! The school feels welcoming, peaceful, and a wonderful family environment. My children have been very happy there. Thank you SJV for all the wonderful memories!Principal Review3y ago - Mannheim Early Childhood Center
