Posted by a parent on 1/5/2014My child has an IEP/learning disability. The teachers at Winston Churchill has worked extremely hard to help my son stay focused in school. My son has com a long way thanks to his teachers. The teachers have given him many, many challenges lots of homework and extra time on work and activities.
Posted by a parent on 11/19/2013Defying all the odds and battling budget cutbacks, this public elementary school for third and fourth grade is simply extraordinary. Great teachers. Great principal. Great school climate and culture. Turns out great kids! A nurturing, caring home away from home, especially for those youngsters with troubled family situations.
Posted by a parent on 9/17/2013The teachers at Winston Churchill really care about every one of those kids. Every morning and during dismissal the Principal, Assistant Principal, and teachers are out on the grounds making sure all children are safe.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think the school can challenge the students more. Some teachers care and take the time to get to know their students more than surface level and understand their learning needs. Others look to dismiss students who need additional support or more challenging assignments to better help them excel. Looking to help the students grow in all areas is key. Some students need more patience than others.Parent Review1mo ago - Longwood Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt has been excellent so far and we are very happy that our child is at Willow. Willow has been able to exceed our expectations to meet our child’s needs so far. Thank you Willow!!Parent Review5y ago - Hello Montessori Preschool & Kindergarten

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was set to send both of my kids to Hello Montessori through Kindergarten. At the start of school year, I'm emailing back-and-forth with Jennifer, the administrator, about necessary paperwork and whatnot. She came across as bullying, condescending, and unprofessional. I pulled my child from Hello Montessori because I felt that there was no interest in their part to build good working relationships with parents. I trusted my intuition that this was not a good fit and enrolled my daughter in another local preschool (FCC - which has been amazing!). I know there are plenty of families that love Hello and send their kids through the whole three year-program. I just want to share my experience so other parents won't feel gaslit if they're sensing disrespect from Jennifer.I can't speak much to the educational component because my daughter was only there for a couple of weeks. Natalee and Amanda seemed like excellent teachers who interacted well with the kids. I spoke with Natalee about my concerns, but they were brushed off.Parent Review2y ago - Flossmoor Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have sent two children there and it is a fantastic education. They get to know your children and teach them accordingly. They are patient but challenging. It becomes like a family. Just wonderful, and a bargain coming from the city, where we were.Other Review6y ago - Bright Start Child Care

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSad to see how far this once great school has fallen. Sadly we can no longer recommend this school. Our Daughter was very unhappy there last year, and no longer wanted to attend. She felt she was not being challenged. We pulled her out and sent to another local school, where we found out how far behind for her grade level she was. She struggled hard to catch up to her peers. We will be pulling our other child out after this year. Multiple other families have left. New principal and pastor seem indifferent. Concerns, questions, and emails go unanswered. Once great teachers seem unmotivated, and are ready to leave as well. A once strong parent volunteer base has evaporated.Parent Review2mo ago
