We joined RPMS last year in mid stream for Montessori and my daughter will be entering 1st grade next year. We have found the staff to be absolutely the best and she loves her teachers and the classrooms. We have made some incredible friends at the school both from the teacher side and and the parents.
... Read more You will not meet a more committed team who really cares about the kids and growing them. Once you meet the kids who have gone through the program and gotten into the best schools in Chicago you will see why I recommend this school so highly. Of course my daughter is having a great time as well and her best friends are her classmates. Read less

We have been at this school for years and all our children attend. We are consistently surprised by not only the academic level at which our children are working but also their social skills. We've recommended this school to everyone we meet.

This is a fantastic school. The parents are involved, the teachers patient, caring and smart, and the facility is fantastic. The student body is thoughtful, articulate and caring. And the academics rock (once you get used to the less traditional format, which can be unnerving for some, it was for

This is a Great School! Our child has been there since Kindergarten and is about to enter the 4th Grade. Teachers are Caring, highly trained, and always there for private consult or extra attention when needed. Administration seems to know every child and their background. info , We are blessed to

I am in 7th grade at RPMS and am quite surprised by all of the negative comments. The ones that say that we lack in parent involvement are completely off. ... Read more school doesn't have a good elementary. Not only do we do well in class, we have a voice in what we learn which means that we are interested in what we are learning in school. I happen to know that all of the 7th graders got in the high 90's (scored out of 99, and the score meaning that the student scored higher than that that percent of students his or her age that took the test) on the IOWA standardized tests. I loved this school, and though it seemed very easy compared to public school, the transfer was surprisingly easy and the methods of hands-on learning when I was younger helped me understand more when I was forced into textbook learning. I must say from a first person point of view, it was amazing.

MEDIOCRE. the early childhood program was nice, but grade school is underwhelming, esp. given tuition. Leadership and governance was already weak and poor, (note early posts). Mismanagement and recent missteps further impaired leadership's ability to run a school. There are much better alternatives,

Excellent school, model Montessori classrooms. Low student staff ratio allows teachers to individualize instruction to suit each child. The teachers we have encountered are outstanding, I could not ask for a better environment for my children. Parent participation strongly encouraged. RPMS is warm, welcoming

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
