Read what parents are saying about Spalding Drive Elementary SchoolAWFUL. The administration under the current principal is negligent and bows to the PTO princesses as a rule. No wonder we have small class sizes. People in the zone who can afford it send their kids to PRIVATE school. And forget about after school program.....if you are a regular person, your family will find problems here. If you have money and a stay at home parent who can babysit the school, then go for it.
Posted by a parent on 10/14/2018Top notch. One commentor below stated that our school is overrated. This couldn't be further from the truth. I challenge anyone to find a better educational environment in Atlanta. Our class sizes this year were too large but we were the only grade to experience it this year and are hopeful admin will work with the county to ensure a third teacher is added next year. If we had the choice between Spalding and any other private or public school, we would choose Spalding time and time again.
Posted by a parent on 5/29/2018My child transferred into Spalding from one of the local private schools. While the building is old, I'm happy to report the education within is top notch!
Posted by a parent on 5/21/2018Spalding Drive is an embarrassment and very overhyped by parents who don’t have higher aspirations.
Posted by a parent on 5/11/2018Overall, it could be better. Smaller class size and homework.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery large school, large student population, and not a lot of available communication or support because of the number of students in each class and number of classes. They regularly have to dismiss behavior issue otherwise the front office would be filled daily. Therefore, other student’s learning and general well being is effected. They don’t have consistent staff including admin, so it is hard for students to get consistent messages and discipline year to year. The math curriculum they have right now is horrendous and the reading curriculum is outdated and does not address esol or general knowledge gaps well. They are trying but in my opinion it shouldn’t even be allowed for elementary schools to be this big and such a large population.Teacher Review1mo ago - Lake Forest Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI absolutely love Mt, Bethel Christian Academy. I've been working here for almost 8 years and I am blown away every year by the heart and love poured into our students here by our staff and faculty. I'm beyond excited to say I'm not only a teacher, I'm also a parent and I know that my child is loved and cared for here. She is learning so many amazing things and loves learning! The campus is beautiful, the families that attend are a group of caring and kind people. I truly hope that we will be here a long long time because it's simply a great school!Teacher Review5mo ago - The Mount Vernon School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family is very new to Atlanta and had never needed to navigate the private school scene in a metropolitan area before. Perhaps some of my poor rating is due to that of the private school scene in Atlanta in general. Nonetheless, we applied to The school after being told there were openings only to then be waitlisted. This was an enormous time effort all to be “waitlisted”. I felt as if the school misled our family by saying there was an opening and just took the application fee. Perhaps some of this is just par for the course in Atlanta, but overall, very poor experience with admissions and expectations. Also, quite devastating as recent transplants to Atlanta. This has been a far from welcoming experience.Parent Review1y ago - The Epstein School
