Read what parents are saying about Legacy Preparatory AcademyThis school is great teachers and can get kids to follow the rules better
Posted by a parent on 1/27/2023My son attended Legacy from 2017-2019. He was reading on a 3rd grade level at the time, even though He was in the 6th grade. I noticed improvements in his reading right away. By the end of the school year, He was on level with reading and other subjects. This school was a stickler for making sure my son actually comprehended and learned each assignment. This year my son will be graduating from high school and plan to attend college. I thank the principle and staff of Legacy
Posted by a parent on 2/13/2022[Mount Pleasant is the worst school in the Hillsborough County District]ARE TOO MANY FIGHTS AT THE SCHOOL AND IF A STUDENT TRIES TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM ANOTHER STUDENT THATS PHYSICALY FIGHTING THEM GETS AN AUTOMATIC TEN DAY SUSPENSION FROM SCHOOL ! THE SCHOOL DOES NOT INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION THOROUGHLY !
Posted by a community member on 6/5/2014Mt. Pleasant Middle School my child just started to go to this school this school year and I can say they suspend students for foolery when i think they should be in school learning i understand you donthave in school suspension but to suspend a child for petty as not the right color khaki for uniform or telling another student to setop bothering them and etc. My child grades never been this poor I'm not sure if it's the work harder since she is in the 6 th grade or they are not giving that I care effort on trying to improve the student... I know they been A grade school but I think they need to recalculate.. My student has only one problem area and that's just talking of course the teachers are there to teach not parent but at least advise the parents instead of straight suspension and then they can't make up the work! I feel as my child can go to another school and achieve and learn better. My child has told me on different occasions that the principal, assistant principal has called the children ugly and dirty in front of them.. I think that is very unprofessional to be an A school. There always a fight going on in the classes which makes no sense. Don't send your kid here!
Posted by a parent on 12/19/2013We are in our successful 10th year for a reason. You can't please every parent, Parents, when you read a bad review from another parent, ask that parent what kind of student their child was while at Mt. Pleasant. Teachers are hired to teach, not parent.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have not had a bully exp with mine so far just typical tit for tat stuff, the principal now Regina Gordon seems to do very well with the kids and mine love her especially my 11 yr old. my only complaint at this school is the "cop" who seems to love to turn a blind eye for some parents then start harping on others. example: one parent drops 4 kids off at the crosswalk literally stops right in front of me to do it so I let my kids out with hers and he starts yelling at me and acts like he didn't see her do the same thing, then makes me call my kids back and park while she pulls away and drives off he never said a word to her and this was not the 1st altercation with him. other then the school cop the school itself has been great and so have the teachers my kids have bad adhd and they have help them get on track and have specialized programs to give extra help they are great with special needs. other then the covid stuff, missing being able to walk them in on their 1st day and their rude cop the school has been great for mine.Parent Review2y ago - Miles Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSpeaking as a Guardian ad Litem to many children in many schools, I want to commend the staff at Miles Elementary who have always received and returned calls quickly and who have interacted with me kindly and professionally at every interaction. Most importantly, all of the children for whom I have advocated and who are attending ,or have attended, Miles Elementary, have spoken of this school as being one of their their "safe places" and have spoken very affectionately of their teachers. Best of all, the children that I work with who attend Miles are learning a lot.Other Review1mo ago - Shaw Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school. Staff is so irresponsible. I feel like my kid will not succeed in this type of school. Fights EVERYDAY. Staff cussing not caring about students. Kids always on they phones recording gang signs and cussing. Like this school needs to be shut down!! It’s hurting the kids!! Look at the scores. Please shut this school down for the sake of the kids that want a career in life.Parent Review1y ago - Missionary Christian Academy
