Read what parents are saying about Crestwood Community Middle SchoolThe school.does an excellent job developing srudent who cade about learning. It decided to college bound student who get the attention and encouragement to develope to their full capacity. However, it seems that student that do not acquired the basic foundation in elementary school are routed separately and do not enjoy the same attention. They lack guidance to develope the curiosity for learning and the discipline to get there. On a positive note, I see no discrimination in regard to race or athnicity in the attention the student receive, they are objectively guided or misguided according to their interest in learning ~ and this has to start from the age of two years old, and it should start at home.I believe that a child should be able to read at the age of three years old, missing this bench mark can become a big obstacle in future achievments.
Posted by a community member on 3/4/2022My son went to Crestwood Community Middle, and he said that he attributes much of his success to the rigorous academics at the school, the combination of teachers who care and who are well prepared, with a genuine desire to help children. Some of his most challenging teachers helped him to grow, and inspired him to reach beyond what he thought he was capable of accomplishing. Anyone can write repeated complaints.. However, consider this, one’s input will equal the output. Further, when those who want to create a negative image on social media strive to spread negativity, it cannot overcome actual positive experiences and the appreciation that comes back from former students and community members. Generations of students who have attended Crestwood hold its dedication and sentiments close to their hearts because they know that Crestwood is a school that makes a positive difference in the lives of children. I will continue to express my love for this school as it is receiving false negative complaints. Crestwood Middle School is a fantastic school, and it continues to inspire children throughout the decades who are pleased to express their gratitude. My son went back to Crestwood for a career day experience and he could not say enough about how well behaved the children were, and the breadth of opportunities made available to the children with this program. Further, Crestwood has a strong School Advisory Council that continues to place value in what the school offers in the community.
Posted by a parent on 6/21/2021Highly recommended school for your children. Such a supportive team of teachers, they really love the kids! Students are really happy here, great elective programs; art, cooking, high school courses, engineering, computers, chorus, band, tv production, tv news, physical ed., advanced classes, and the infinity gifted academy. Bring your children here, they will get a great education and be very happy; talk to any student who comes to this school and you will see. :-)

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe only know the school with principal Dr. Amado and could not be happier. Administration, PTO and parents collaborating, making it a great community school.Despite of having 800+ children attend the school it seems that everybody knows everyone. So far all teachers we had were always responsive to questions and did a great job teaching our child. I was surprised to find this amount of social emotional learning being provided at a public school. However, there were a few times when I thought our child was not treated with the same respect by the teacher as the teacher expected to be treated. It was addressed and improved after. It seems that the administrations puts some thoughts into who gets to go into one class together, trying to keep children in one class at the same level so no one feels left behind or gets bored. -I might be mistaken and it's just been coincidentally but it felt like that to me.Parent Review1y ago - Ideal School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs someone else stated already, it seems more like a stage show. More days off than public school. They count party days as school days, and these usually result in half days. Sometimes the school is closed an entire day before and/or after the party to prep or clean up. So one "show" or "party" day results in 2 missed days of school. These also will require parent participation and/or donations on a regular basis. If you have a household with two working parents like us, it will be a problem at this school. I'm not sure we had much communication with the owners after initial tour. This place felt more like a club than a school. The student/teacher ratio is not accurately conveyed either. The experience did not come close to the vision that was sold to us. I will say that I do think there are some good teachers at this school, but I'm not sure the owners allow them to perform at their fullest potential. Aftercare is just a free for all with kids of all ages from all grade levels mixed into one room. Don't just accept what is told to you at time of tour. Trust your gut. Some of these reviews are written by employees of the school, and some are no doubt solicited.Parent Review3y ago - College Assist

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is incredible. The teachers are so loving, patient and really care about the students. My son is barely over 3 and is already reading books independently. They get a lot of play time. They have 100% kindergarten readiness through their VPK program and the kids get to do a lot of fun events like field day, St. Jude's Trike-A-Thon and the end of the year carnival. If you are in need of an amazing school for your child, I would encourage you to tour St. David's.Parent Review8y ago - Kids Club
