I wouldn't recommend taking your kid to this school. while there are some amazing teachers who taught me very well and helped me. it's not a very good school. I've been up to the office countless times because many kids were dragging me into situations and or I was being bullied. one of these times, I was suspended because another kid had put their hands on someone else. I was not involved in this physical contact and yet was still reprehended. I believe this school does not know how to treat issues that are going on with their students and have told me to keep silent after every incident that happened. it took me till I was finally away from the school to even tell my father about these incidents. this school cannot handle its students. I've witnessed plenty of fights in the bathrooms that no teacher or staff had ever known of. overall, the staff is not worried about how their students feel and it feels like they see us as a chore. if you're a parent, I don't recommend this school to your kid. it's not one of the best options. I once was sent back all the way across the campus with pain because my teacher had forgotten to give me a pass to the nurse's office. it's incredibly astonishing how this school treats its ill students. I don't remember one good experience with the guidance of DALA. I was bullied and stood up for myself in the middle of class after a terrible comment about me. and yet, they have me a punishment and called my father. they had told him I wasn't in trouble then proceeded to describe me standing up for myself as if I had done something wrong. i am tired of this school telling the students to come to adults first when they cannot even extend a hand out to help us.

So far, through 6th and now 7th grade with my child, I'm very pleased that she attends DALA. I really have no complaints and she is happy and progressing well at this school. Thank you for all of your hard work and caring for my daughter. I appreciate everything your staff does for her.

Avoid this and their high school at all cost. The administration lives in a bubble and does not realize what is going on in their school.

I attended DALA my 6th grade year 2012-2012and left the 7th.The only real reasons I wanted to stay was because of my friends and the dream team .. The trendsetters that year that consisted of how amazing the teachers were to us it was like a family but then we had problems with the language arts as in we no further had a teacher but a sun until the found a horrible replacement then she got fired and got a not so good teacher after that. The thing is after you steeled out of the class tools it was like a prison. Administrators watching all the time . To get into the lunchroom they would make you unzip your jacket and check you.there are police officers and the attention and acedemics were very poor. I was a student at DALA.

as the final three days of this school years approaches I can honestly state this has been a most our standing year. Our Son never had a year that was so successful. The teaching staff, are available, helpful and eagar to assist in every was. The library is one of the most advanced we have ever experienced, with advanced computers and training. This is the first time at any school we have every attended that our son could not wait to be in school in the morning, and was part of several after school events.
