Read what parents are saying about Fort Myers Middle AcademyThis school was a not a good experience for my child. He was beat up (nose and glasses broken) and bullied innumerable amount of times. His classes frequently had teachers leave mid school year and his Math class never even had a permanent teacher- it was like a substitute every day. Did faculty try to prevent these things? Yes. But the fighting and disrespect is so out of hand I don't think even they know how to handle it. I hate to use the term "inner city" but that is exactly what this school emulates. There is nothing "warm and inviting" about it. It is survival of the fittest.

Posted by a parent on 5/14/2019FMMA is a great, small school. The teachers and administrators know all the students and help them to be their best. Homework Huddle is awesome because students can stay after school to get homework help from their actual teachers. Enrichment Clusters make learning fun for everyone and the AVID program helps kids set goals & helps them achieve those goals! Highly recommended!

Posted by a parent on 3/21/2013It saddens me to see a grade of only 3 on this site for the test scores of the students here...what needs to be factored in is the very high low income students and non-English speaking student numbers. ANY school would get a low grade from that-so assess how well this school is doing with what it has to teach and you'll see a much higler number...and well deserved. Schools that only have gifted students or kids with highly motivated parents that are rich enough to not have to work 2-3 jobs and instead be with their kids will score higher...but that doesn't mean the school is teaching better-just that it doesn't have to. This one does and succeeds well in doing so.

Parent Review1y ago - Edison Park Creative And Expressive Arts School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school deserves more that 5/10 in ratings it’s actually rated #8/10 in the entire Lee county district and my kids absolutely love it and so do it. The grade levels have 1-3 classes per grade max which makes for better safety and they offer a lot of specialty classes that other schools dontParent Review7mo ago - Orangewood Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy sons teacher has nothing but negative things to say.My son is very intelligent, nice and never gets in trouble. However you can be sure if she opens her mouth it will be to complain about something. The one time she did call about him and some other boys saying something inapopriate, she took another childs side saying , She didnt believe he had told my son to say the derrogatory word, Because He{ the other child) Is such a nice boy he is really a nice boy, i dont believe he would do something like that. Well of course later on, that boy she thinks is such an angel sent a text message to my phone you wouldnt believe.Parent Review5y ago - Saint Francis Xavier

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe communication with the principal and teachers was poor. I got more communication about tithing for chapel or fundraisers than on the academic progress of my child. The teacher made the decision to hold my child back, even though the academic psychologist they sent us to stated this was unnecessary and detrimental to the child. They would rather hold the child back a year, then give the extra help and communication needed to help the child succeed.Parent Review4y ago - Lee County Virtual Franchise
