Read what parents are saying about Florida SouthWestern Collegiate HS-LeeI highly recommend FSWCHS-Lee to all parents with bright students seeking a top-tier education, one equal to private schools, but free of tuition as a public charter school. Students enter a lottery to attend. All courses are taught at the honors level and the school is advanced-STEM rated. Class sizes are small, with approximately 100 students per grade in 9th and 10th grades. Teachers and other faculty are terrific communicators with both parents and students. Parents are aware of their children's progress and assignments in real time. This is an ideal option for students to focus solely on academics in a safe and supportive environment. I don't advise this school to parents with children focused on sports, cheerleading, or who only thrive in highly social environments. The high school is located on a university campus, and students transition from attending high school to 100% university courses in 11th grade. University tuition, books, and all other fees are free for these students until high school graduation. FSWCHS-Lee is the single best public high school option in the Lee County School District. Parents must Google the school though, as it doesn't appear in printed enrollment packets distributed to middle school students transitioning to high school.
Posted by a parent on 3/26/2022It was okay. The school is definitely not for everyone. The workload helps to prepare for the final two years at the college but they make a lot of empty promises (for example, I switched out and was able to complete the exact same dual enrollment process as well as take the music classes I loved so much while in college even though I was told it would be impossible, that it wasn't even an option at other schools). The biggest problem with this school is that they don't offer anything but academics. The sports have to be done at another school, and anything art related or electives are available only junior and senior year at the college, which is unfair because even then the options are limited to ONE art class. It allows for no creative expression and it's straight work work work, except for clubs but it's not the same and it makes it harder for students to do well. The small amount of students works well though, allows for more communication. Dr.Botts is an excellent principal, he cares about his students and knows them all by name.
Posted by a student on 4/17/2019We have been nothing but impressed with this school. Our three kids (yes, triplets) are all excelling even though they are each very different. The size of the school and classrooms create a very intimate, integrated experience. Every 9th grader has the same seven teachers, classes, and homework. The lessons are hands-on, often group-based projects that work well for various types of learners.
Posted by a parent on 11/11/2017At first I was excited about the school. However I soon realized that the curriculum was unorganized and the teachers were totally out of touch with reality when assigning homework. In addition, teachers and administration were hard to work with. The concept of the school is good but they don't quite deliver.
Posted by a parent on 8/14/2017Definitely is no a good school. In my opinion the school administration and several teachers are unprepared and unprofessional

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMontessori School of Fort Myers (MSFM) is a fantastic accredited school that follows the Montessori method emphatically. The environment is warm and peaceful, and the staff are respectful, caring, and attentive. Ms Joyce is fantastic with the infants and the class size is small with 2 teachers for 6 children (at least when we were part of the Infant class). Ms Livia and Ms Pam are the dynamic duo in the Toddler class, and all the Toddler teachers are wonderful. They guide and love each child through the many milestones they will have in their toddler years. The Primary teachers are top-notch as well. Ms Ana is the epitome of benevolence. Your child will grow immensely in the Primary classes here and will be ready to venture into the next step of their scholastic experience. Additionally, the administrative team is supportive, helpful, and devoted. All the teachers and staff exemplify the patience, perseverance, kindness, steadiness, and dedication to teach. The school not only stresses academic excellence, it also emphasizes kindness and respect. Children are taught conflict resolution and respect for themselves and others. MSFM is the best school in Fort Myers for infants, toddlers, and primary-aged children!Parent Review1y ago - Crestwell School (Crestwell Higher Learning)

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCrestwell School is a wonderful school with caring teachers and administration that go above and beyond for their students. Other private schools in the area do not even compare to Crestwell. The small class sizes make a huge difference for the students and the teachers. They get more outdoor time and exercise than most schools and they even have a garden where they grow different vegetables. Crestwell has many fun events through the year including a whole school musical where every child is able to participate. The best part is my children wake up every morning excited to go to school!Parent Review2y ago - Evangelical Christian School
