Read what parents are saying about Saint Joseph's Episcopal School & Early Childhood AcademyIt was good, however the classes are very small. This is a good thing while you are young, however I do advise a bigger middle school. 4th grade was my last year there and when I switched to a school that was bigger I almost was in shock. It was terrified and I wasn’t used to it at all. I moved to a very good school that helped me have an easy transition, but I think I would have freaked out if I came in for middle school and didn’t have 5th grade to get used to a bigger learning environment.
Posted by a community member on 11/19/2019I just move my children here from another Christian school. Im a parent that cares about what my kids are learning and if its adjusting to their knowledge and abilities. My son could not be very happy. He loves the school and made friends easily. He always excels in everything and Im glad that the school adjust to his capabilities. Also if you take the tour with Ms Apervich you will have insight what this school can offer from the academics, arts, performing arts, computer , sports and the spiritual growth. Children are well rounded.
Posted by a parent on 2/14/2017I have been a parent at St. Joseph’s for more than 15 years, through four administrations. Each has had its strengths and challenges, but all of them have been completely committed to the development of each child, mind, body and spirit. When I read the negative reviews, I feel sorry for their experience but don’t recognize the school where my kids learned how to read, write and do math, grew in their faith, and began to understand their role in a larger community. St. Joe’s academic programs are so strong that every 8th grader wins a spot in his or her first-choice high school, including the most competitive college-prep programs. A strong guidance program helps students with their emotional development and empowers children to work through their interpersonal issues. The teachers here—many of whom I’ve known for 15 years—have helped raise my children to be thoughtful, kind people who are able to see others’ viewpoints and are unafraid to take on challenges. With one daughter in college in the Northeast and another about to go to high school, I am grateful every day for the gift of this strong, loving community.
Posted by a parent on 1/16/2017SJES is an amazing school with dedicated teachers, faculty, and staff. The moment my children stepped on campus they were welcomed with love and respect. My oldest is now a freshman and attended SJES for nine years. He was accepted into every high school he applied to and placed in honor classes. He was very well prepared and his H.S. teachers have commented on his confidence, maturity, and kindness towards his new classmates. My daughter will graduate from SJES next year and she too is a strong confident young lady who adores her teachers and classmates. The attention the students get because of the small class size sets them up for success. This year has been especially exceptional with our new Head of School and it shows throughout the school community. Best decision I made for my kids was to enroll them here!
Posted by a community member on 1/14/2017This schools headmaster is to young for the position he holds. I strongly agree with other statements regarding strange interactions with teachers and families. There is a reason the class sizes are so small run don't walk away from this school.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children went to this school and I loved it they had a great teacher her name was Mrs. Palumbo. My daughter was in her class for 1&2 and I was praying for my son to be in her class when he was done with kindergarten, When the school year came around he was in her class for 1st grade. He didn’t get to finish 1st grade because we moved, however I knew Mrs. Palumbo would have taught him very well. The confidence she taught my daughter my daughter is in the third grade she took the FSA for the first time and scored high on her FSA. Miss Palumbo she does not play but she is a good teacher.Parent Review1y ago - Plumosa School Of The Arts

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are many reasons I've seen that show this school doesn't care about the students safety and when you voice your concerns nothing is done about it, teachers are either stupid or don't care about anything other than getting paid, one of my kids kept getting back another student's school work back so who knows if my child even received accurate grades. They let the same parents pick up their children from school early EVERYDAY when we all told during an assembly that doing that is considered an absence and can get you kicked out of the school yet I've been seeing the same parents pick up their kids early daily since last year.Parent Review7mo ago - S. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children were at Spady for 8 years (PK3-5th grade). What I love most about this school is its culture and overall school philosophy. It is very unique for a public school. Montessori schools educate the total child and promote independence. The teachers all truly cared about my childrens's education and individual progress. I have often recommended parents to apply to Spady and will continue to do so.Parent Review1y ago - Crosspointe Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGulf Stream school is a warm and loving environment for our oldest child. She is in her first year there and truly begs to go to school every morning. She surprises us daily with how much and how quickly she is learning. Every single teacher knows her name and looks out for her wellbeing.Parent Review1y ago - Unity School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnity School is a warm and welcoming environment for all the children. Unity encourages students to embrace others and their differences. That alone allows students to learn at their own pace and explore unconventional ways of learning. I appreciate the expertise of Unity's faculty and teachers and respect their ability to guide students to achieve the best attitude and camaraderie that carries into life outside of school.Other Review1mo ago - Gold Coast Jr Academy
